Welcome To Anabolic Minds! Introduction Thread!

Hey guys, I'm not getting any post updates notifications through my control panel. I haven't changed anything, just jumped on & no new stuff. I checked a couple of my regular haunts & there's been activity, so it's not a ghost town out there.
Any ideas?
Apologies if this is in the wrong place, I didn't see anything else that fit the query...

If you haven't disabled it, I am not sure.

I usually just refresh my subscribed list to see updates in threads I was active in or followed

Thanks for the response.
I logged back in just now & the notifications are back on my control panel. No prior history though. Odd. If it does it again i'll refresh cookies etc & see if that helps.

Hey, fellas. Marijuana here. I'm a 21 year old which has met his plateau. I have a friend with the genetics of ****ing Thor. Anyways, I'm wanting some "expert" advise from you guys. I want to do AAS but I don't know what to get. I know Super DMZ 4.0 is not what it's put out to be and tbh I don't want to fall for some bull**** FDA approve testosterone ****. I want something that provides great gains. I hope to get that answer from here. It's cool to be on a forum with a ton of dudes who know their ****!

Welcome to AM.
We need stats, experience, training backgrounds, goals, etc. to be able to advise properly. But please create a thread in the appropriate forum for your questions.

Welcome to anabolic minds dude... Hate to say this on the intro page but at 21 a plateau is no big deal. Change routine foc ur diet and grow. Unless ur test levels are already dropping u don't need AAS. There will always b someone bigger and stronger. Don't let it tempt u. U r too young. But yes there is a lot of knowledge here and we welcome u.

^very good point on not thinking AAS are needed at 21.

Patience man, make a thread so we can help you out here

Welcome to AM

I'm not very educated on this subject but I want to take steroids. I realize my levels of all hormones are at the highest right now.

U really need to listen and start a thread on this. This is the intro forum and we welcome and introduce here. I'm telling u to get the help u NEED. Go to anti aging or whatever or the cycle info page and start a thread saying there what u said here. Give ur age stats. Training years. Diet. Goals. Everything

Not sure about BF, look at profile pic.

I've ran 3-4 Andro based cycles and some dhea but I didn't really take training/nutrition seriously till recently plus everything was most likely underdosed. Looking to start a more serious cycle here asap. Goals are just too look good honestly, recomp with some fat loss and muscle development, aesthetic, functional.

I've already learned a ton from everyone on here and am excited to learn more. This is definitely the best forum yet.
let me know if you can't see the pic, it was a huge pain to upload, hopefully it's there. Feel free to ask me questions too if you want.

Welcome!

Welcome to AM brother!

BF is hard to guess on one photo, maybe 12% ish

Looking solid

polarcat welcome, brother! We look forward to broth sharing with and learning from you!
Driven2lift how does one have their BF% calculated professionally? I've always been curious. Is that a doctor issue or is there a way to calculate it oneself?

Most doctors can't do it either,
DEXA is good,
But it's not too inaccurate IMO to go off callipers and a mirror

^^^I second this. Good calipers are cheap and reliable for tracking change in LBM providing you use the same sites and method every time. They're not 100% accurate like a DEXA scan but reasonably close. My readings tend to be 1-1.5% lower than actual. But the mirror is a great guide as well. Achieving the look you want trumps an arbitrary number IMO. I'm totally comfortable in a range from single digit all the way up to 16-18%. I don't compete in bodybuilding. Just have to look good naked for my spouse. Lol

welcome bro

What's up guys! I'm 26 years old and did my first men's physique show last year. I'm the Sales Director of a local health and fitness club. I went to PSU Main and studied finance and economics, and I was a financial advisor at Edward Jones for three years prior to my current career.

I have always loved fitness, I grew up an athlete playing basketball and soccer. Always loved to train. Really looking to expand my supplement knowledge to stay healthy and safe but also push my body to the limits. Looking forward to learning a lot and hopefully one day sharing some knowledge with others!

Welcome to AM sir!

Also, you have the less cool spelling of Dylan

Hello!

I'm Null. I guess I'm a noob again, but I was once a full-time lurker here. Recent developments (some nasty bloodwork results) have brought about need to return.
I'm getting back into the fitness world slowly, but will likely be in it for the long haul. I'm here for knowledge, so lurking will be my thing- most posts wind up getting a reply to the effect of "hey dummy use the 'Search' function" anyway. In time I'll probably start adding my two cents to conversations here and there, but only after becoming knowledgeable enough to do so intelligently.
Peace.

Hello Everybody! I will be 54 years old this Spring, my husband is 58. We are both chronic pain patients with severe pain issues who have had our pain medicine taken away due more to the current climate of paranoia in the medical establishment in this country rather than any real fault of our own, after years upon years of successful treatment. This has turned our lives into a complete hell. Whereas before we were somewhat functional, life was not perfect - we still had pain, still had mobility issues..etc..but everything was manageable. Now we are both nearly bedbound, barely able to take care of ourselves, seriously - much less our pets, our home, yard, car or anything else. Our attorneys have suggested finding a new doctor and have made some suggestions. Obviously we need to do this, but it will take some time. Finding a new doctor that you are really comfortable with, especially when you are disabled and need someone who specializes in your particular problems is not an easy task. Then they are not just going to hand out a scrip for pain medicine right away either, nobody is. This is a very real problem right now for a lot of people like us. Unfortunately medicine has gotten into the wrong hands too many times and now patients who truly need it can't get it because doctors are afraid something is going to happen and it is going to come back on them. Anyway, we are looking for ways to help control our pain first of all. If we could accomplish that much, would love to be able to build on that. It is awfully hard to do anything when you are in severe pain 24/7, 365 days a year, year in and out, year after year...etc... So that is our first order of business here. If anyone knows anything that helps with pain, inflammation, and related issues...or where would be a good place to start looking. Much would be appreciated!! Thanks...:)

There are products designed to help with some of those mentioned issues but know these are not meant to treat any medical condition and no one can/should recommend it to you for that reason,
And you are likely on a number of prescriptions as it us currently,

Do not try things out without your doctor's "ok"

Welcome to AM!
I have (albeit temporarily and in my youth) felt that constant pain and restricted movements before.
I don't wish it upon anyone and I hope you can overcome it.

welcome-

lots of good info here- do a little looking around and ask- everyones here to help

Jillyanne I'm also a rejected pain patient, so I can empathize. Nothing I say can be construed as medical advice and you take said advice at your own risk. I do have some information on natural protocols which have some success for inflammation. For pain, I would see if kratom is legal in your area. I'm more than happy to help with any questions you might have once you start looking around. Just create a thread for it and holler at me in here with the title of the thread. You won't be able to send PMs or post links until you get some posts up. I think somewhere from 50-100.

Thank you!! I get completely what you have stated regarding any information not being construed as medical and the need to evaluate my own risk factors. I always check things out to make sure they are not going to cause any problems. I have a long list of medical diagnoses and do not wish to complicate matters but to improve my health so I'm not about to dive into anything that I do not have a solid understanding of. Will check out the kratom issue. Am very interested in hearing about the natural protocols with which you have had success for inflammation. It is a huge problem for me. Have major systemic issues that do not go away regardless of how long I am off pain medicine now because my body relied on it for so long. These are not "withdrawals". A lot of people do not understand what I am talking about here. There are pain specialists at the VA where my husband goes who understand this but a lot of other doctors are clueless. It is a nightmare. Am going to look around a bit here and see what I can find....

Welcome to AM Sarah. It's great you want to make positive changes. You'll find lots of support and knowledge here. Your goal is great but very ambitious. It can certainly be done though. IMO the first step is to make exercise and nutrition a part of your daily routine but at a level that is sustainable and won't burn you out. With 3 children I'm sure you are a busy lady:). Cheers.

Hey everyone. The name is Landon. Looking forward to getting some quality info here and broadening my knowledge on all things supplement. Currently working to potentially partake in my first powerlifting comp in December of this year. Numbers are lower than where I want but are currently 365 squat, 300 bench and 440 deadlift. Hope to see 405,315,495 by the end of this year as I have put my efforts in to a higher level in the past months. Will be in the 181 class.
