Welcome To Anabolic Minds! Introduction Thread!

Welcome everyone!

Hi, all. I'm a 31 year old and I've recently learned I've got Low T. Hoping to normalize those levels and also make up for lost time in training. I'm happy to find a place with such helpful members.

Welcome Gavin! You will get a lot of help here. Great community.

Welcome to AM brother.
Going on TRT or trying to raise naturally?

Plenty of experience from both sides here.

If you want to blog a log of a run or anything else, feel free to start a thread in the appropriate category. You can post whatever you like and all your new bros can chime in with advice and encouragement.

Oh, okay, I was asking because there's a
Area on the activity section of your profile with points for things.
Post, threads, reputation, blogs, comments for blogs, mentions given, mentions received, contest won.
Didn't realize they were they same. Threads made and blogs made.

I got a test when I was 27 or 28 and was at 370 (morning test). Since then, I've tried various things to raise natural production - vitamins c., more good fats, sprints + heavy compound lifts (necessary for my sport of choice anyway), everything under the sun. At age 31, I'm at 305-362 (afternoon test and morning test in the last month and a half). So I suppose I've succeeded somewhat in slowing down the natural decline somewhat if we are talking 1-2% per year. I think I'm done with full-natural attempts.

Doctor 1 told me he'd prescribe me a SERM if he prescribed things, but he doesn't (?) and that he'd refer me to Doctor 2, who likely would prescribe me the usual SERM.

My understanding from the literature is that SERMS can result in a doubling of levels for hypogondal men but many guys don't actually feel the effects because of the estrogenic side effects (especially the most common one).

I just started a thread in the anti-aging forum if you wanna help me out.

Hi all. I'm Wes, 25 year old pre-med student in Utah. I got into lifting in the teenage years for high school sports, but I didn't really get interested in body building until a while back when I realized how far I had let myself go while focusing on school. I'm looking forward to learning a lot on this forum and getting back into shape. I'd love to add some mass to my shoulders and traps, does anyone know some good threads they could point me to? Thanks all

It's great you are entering a right path - I work with so many outta-shape doctors, it's very sad to see some of them and how unhealthy they live. My heart goes out to some of them, yet at the same time some of them have done it to themselves.

Last time I had an injury, I went to a sports medicine doc and she must have been at least like 300 lbs, made me very skeptical of any excercise related advice she gave me and I ended up seeking different opinion.

The not-having-enough-time excuse runs deep in the medical professions when it comes to taking care of yourself, but ultimately it just comes down to making the priorities and what's important to you. Best of luck, medical school is going to be more intense - my doctorate program ran parallel classes with medical students so I took a lot of first year classes with first year med students so I know all about studying 12 hrs a day but it's only a short period of your life and there will be light at the end of the tunnel !

This has also been my observation, though it doesn't surprise me much. The medical system tends to sell drugs, not health.

Hi I just found this section and I'm new so... I'm 29 (30 in April) worked out for a good 5 years then got sidetracked and quit for a few and now I'm back into it.

I remember the good feeling when I was in great shape and just trying to get back there.

I have run a couple of cycles in the past and things have changed a lot in the supp world so I came here because it seems to have a lot of good info.

I'm an instructor and teach disadvantaged youth how to operate heavy equipment. Most of the kids are into working out so hopefully I can get on their level. 17-24 year olds make me feel old. LOL

What's up guys, long time lurker here. Just wanted to introduce myself and give a little background info I'm 22, 6'7 210 lbs around 12% BF. I've been working out since I was about 17, got really into lifting in college, went from 179 to 210 in a little over 3 years. Long story short I have some methastradol, 90 caps. I'm just looking for a few pointers. I'm honestly just thinking of 10 mg twice a day for 4-6 weeks with the possibility of upping the dosage, I'm using blockade as a cycle support and thinking about using daa 3k as a PCT. My main question here is should I get the nolva? I've been hearing a lot of mixed reviews... Any feedback would be more than appreciated,
Jerry

Edit that out and post that question in the AAS section,

But welcome to AM :)

Hello!

I'm newish to bodybuilding and I'm realizing that there is a lot to learn. I was searching for a forum to join for a bodybuilding support system and this forum kept popping up so I finally broke down and decided to join. There is just so much to learn in between lifting and going to work.

My goal is to join the US Navy in 6ish months time. I would really just like to find myself a solid support group to help me reach my goals. I've already lost 20 pounds and counting. I'm also trying to strengthen my body to make it through boot camp. At the moment I still can't do a single pull up but hopefully that will change. I have a pretty solid workout plan (but advice and improvements are always welcome) and now I'm just trying to get my nutrition under control.

I'm mostly having a hard time figuring out what to eat and when in order to get the most out of my diet. Example I just learned how important pre and post workout meals are.

See you guys and gals around the forum.

Welcome to AM!

You picked a great place
Nutrition is something that definitely takes time and practise, but learn it right once and you are set for life

Hey everyone.

I am a youngin here, 19 years old. Currently studying chemical engineering.

Found out I had naturally low testosterone 2 years ago, and from then one started cycling. On my third cycle at the moment.

Passionate about the things I do. I like coding, and I do a bit of MMA

Glad to be a part of this community.

Hey guys, I'm not getting any post updates notifications through my control panel. I haven't changed anything, just jumped on & no new stuff. I checked a couple of my regular haunts & there's been activity, so it's not a ghost town out there.
Any ideas?
Apologies if this is in the wrong place, I didn't see anything else that fit the query...
