Warning, this is a bit of a rant. Anyway, here goes...
Day in and day out I see questions on these boards from fat, out of shape, seemingly lazy people asking which supplements they have to take to get a six pack or 20 inch arms. Likewise, at the gym every day I see skinny ass people stacking weights on the bench press and doing 1/4 reps. I can at least tune the people at the gym out, and maybe I have to lay off the boards, but I spend a lot of my time sitting here wondering how many times I have to repeat "fix your diet, precisely track your macronutrients, learn how to lift properly, DO NOT WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING BESIDES PROTEIN AND CREATINE FOR NOW."
Don't get me wrong, I am by no means opposed to PHs or AAS, my issue with them is that most people seem to be absolutely clueless about how far they can take their bodies without these things. I'd love to help people change their bodies the way they want to, and I know a hell of a lot of information from years of experience, but people just don't seem to want to listen to what it actually takes to build a quality physique. If I could control their lives, make them eat correctly and make them concentrate on form and full, long reps, I guarantee I could lead newbies to FAR GREATER results than any PH and sloppy lifting routine could manage.
So the question for the more experienced lifters here is what is your take on this issue? How do you try to help, but at the same time not go crazy from the ignorant "I need a quick fix" attitude that a lot of inexperienced lifters seem to have?
