Weight Fluctuation When Sick

I started having symptoms of a common cold a few days ago (stuffy nose, headache, sore throat, etc.) and my body weight has increased noticeably and I'm feeling much more sore after training. I haven't changed my diet at all so the weight gain was surprising.

Has this happened to anyone else? I'm guessing that my body is holding extra water, but I wanted to see if anyone else has had similar experiences when they get sick.

It could depend on how active you are. Many of us tend to eat the same, but have less activity when we feel under the weather. We just don’t notice since we don’t feel well.

That's weird. Typically I lose weight when sick but my diet changes since I don't feel like eating. In your case your diet didn't change and you gained so i'm not sure.
