Wasme's recomp journey....

What kinda wheels we talkin?

the sound system in the car is worth more than the car unfortunately. She's my second car and refuses to die; and I'm driving it into the ground lol.

3-door 2001 standard Saturn SC1.

Needed a car cheaper on insurance after my spree of speeding tickets in the Charger.

Not competition worthy but more than I need

4 x JBL's at 300 watts DPP

Pioneer Deck

Alpine PDX-F4 amp

Dual 12" Kicker sub kit in the trunk.

It took me forever to eliminate all of the rattle sources in that car. Drove me nuts initially.

Sorry for the thread derail brother.

I went through a short phase where I wanted a system in my car too.

I spent a fortune on 3/4 rubber soundproofing that was used in commercial soundproofing at the time. Pulled all the panels and lined my whole 87 Eddie Bauer Bronco.

Engine blew out within the next year. :(

That's a good setup. Dynamat is what we used back in the day to get rid of rattles in the car, worked great.

I'll stop with the system talk wasme lol sorry just got taken back to the late 90s lol

I have a pretty nice home theatre and speaker set up but my real nice toys are on wheels.I'm that guy you hate to be anywhere near in traffic.
I too was one of those guys when I was younger and had my Iroc. Gotta pulled over 3 times on Yonge Street in Toronto by police for excessive noise.

Oh yea. BC certainly is beautiful. I have only been out there once myself.

Volbeat is a great band, almost as good as A7X

I'd have to say better than :-)

Think Volbeat need another great album under their belts... They do have a great sound.

Life...have you heard the three albums before Beyond Heaven and Hell. I have not but they are downloading..

I have them actually...and you won't be disappointed. :-)

Wicked workout man! I hate shoulders I want them so bad and to have shredded ones lol but hate training them.

Totally agree! There amazing! There a great band but I like the heavier A7X style

Avenged rocks, no doubt about it. But in terms of heavier...I'd have to go with Five Finger Death Punch

They are my least favorite to work, but necessary.

I have also found I have less problems with my shoulder since getting into meadows. (touch wood)

Agree 100%

Only reason I like 5 finger is their cover of bad company. It was bad ass. Can't stand a7x idk what it is. Guess I like my metal extra heavy :-p

Will do... nothing gets you in the zone like 'hard rock / metal'

Agreed!!

The really hard fast screaming death metal annoys the **** outta me. I dig most of lamb of God's stuff. Huge tool fan, disturbed etc.

Had some Pantera and tool for legs this am.

Started program 3 over again. Week 2 today :-)

Absolutely love tool. For me tool WAS smoking a bowl, cranking them up and just going Into a comatose state, so they're out for gym purposes. They literally calm me. APC will have me sleeping in 15 minutes.

There's like a fine line of the guys that try too hard to be heavy and the guys that just kick ass and melt faces. Some of the grunty growly sh!t is just that.. Idk Ita hard to explain but I'd imagine you know what I'm saying.

Totally get what you mean.

Vicarious by Tool = my jam.

Tool is one of those bands you are required to love if you're a drummer.

Bands I listened to when I started playing drums 20 years ago...

Pantera (huge influence)
Sepultura (VERY huge influence)
Tool (one of the best drummers EVER)
Primus (gotta love the funk)
Alice in Chains (didn't influence my drumming much but I loved to listen to them. RIP Layne Staley!)
Nine Inch Nails (my all time favorite band along with Tool)
Helmet (Great off-beat riffs and syncopated measures)

Speaking of Dave.. havent seen him on here for a bit.. how is he doing?

He's good, $uper busy trying g to wrap stuff up b4 he leaves.

Love the funk. My dad's a bass player who played with all kinds of funk/jazz bands. Some of the music I listen to (heavy ****) he just laughs and says that **** easy to play. Lol

He may not consider Primus funk lol...but those bass lines Les Claypool throws down are DEFINITELY funky!

Man...you are like clock work. Your killing it man. Detail on top of detail + consistency. I believe you have reached that elite status among many others on AM. Most who visit your thread. Beast mode!

Yesterday was a scheduled rest day. And a very busy evening.

Unfortunately did not track cals. But my guess would fall in the range of Pro-250, Carbs-130, Fats-90

After work will be hitting up a back session - hopefully a great one at that.. update to follow..

On the musical front, have you guys heard the new Metallica song? not doing much for me at this point.

Before my time, but I do know exactly what you're talking about! :-) I had my phase of listening to the classics...Zeplin, the Doors, Pink Floyd, Hendrix...one's music background can't be complete without knowledge if the legends!
