Not necessarily only bodybuilding motivation but it works for me when I feel down or like I don't have it anymore ..... helps me push on and realize that it is through adversity that we grow stronger.

What's the motivation today?

Surround yourself with mediocre people and you'll feel better about yourself.. surround yourself with winners and you'll become a better self..
(sorry no fancy image so use your imagination)

In on this bitch!

Gotta get down on my personal development again.

I took way to much time off of it lately.

Gotta get it back under control!

Haha.

I put the gym on the back burner this year in favor of moving my career forward... I desperately need this motivation to get back into it, it's been like 3-4 months now since I've been back.

I'm working out again, but mentally I think we are in the same spot.

I'm going to sit down and write up an affirmation on stickies, post it all over my house, record it on my phone, listen to it when I sleep, and get back on track!

We all have those times, guys. All it takes is going forward and putting in the time now. Don't be down on yourselves for what happened in the past. Make the **** that happens today what matters the most. And remember the beauty of muscle memory will get you back to where you were in no time ;)

And surround yourselves with positive people. People that are doing the same stuff as you or that you'd like to be doing. Remember when our parents told us "you are the company you keep"? It's crazy how true that is, huh? Anyways, keep posting here, surround yourselves with good positive people and you'll be back on track in no time =)

This was in a recent article:

"powerlifting separates the pretenders from the elite athletes in a quantitative manner"

Motivated me personally, just sharing!

Lots of unique motivating post in here!

No matter what people tell you don't forget where you came from. We all started out somewhere and in a sense Im still starting myself. Don't focus on other peoples numbers and sets. It will do nothing but upset you and take you far away from your goal. Whenever I see someone Shoulder pressing 100 pound dumbbells I just remind myself that I put in the work. I lifted nothing but 25lbs for 6 months. I focused on proper form the way it should be done. I didn't go into the gym and say I got this and half rep myself to a torn rotator cuff. There will always be someone better than you but when you see them remember they once to had them 20s in there hands. Never try to be better than other just try to be the best version of yourself!

I like it!:head:

My kinda gym. Had a dungeon just like that a few years ago before a nasty divorce made it all go bye bye :( Slowly working on building it all back up now.

I bet the divorce was motivation in itself to get back on track. It's funny how breakups are one of the single biggest motivators that people have to get back in shape lol. Once that comforts gone, "oh ****, I Gotta drop 20 pounds!" Lol.

Hope you're on the downhill slope buddy!

Damn!

I bet it gets hot in there!

I can relate to a lot of these replys...been lifting 8 years..I still lift but not like I used too...The passion and motivation isn't there like it was in my late teens and early 20's...what gets me motivated is thinking and seeing pics of how I used to look ha...

:bigok:

Who's motivated out there?

:-)
