Wanderlei "The Axe Murderer" Silva

Alexander

Well-known member
He's baaaaaaaaaack. I haven't been this amped in quite some time. Glad Jardine seemed OK, he was out bad. How are you feeling Rodja?

I am so relieved at the outcome of this fight. I was jumping with joy when Wandy KTFO'd Jardine. He's back *****es...War Wandy.

Silva was impressive ....I knew they would throw heavy ! Yeah he's back ! Penn's the man GSP next ...? n Ortiz almost pulled it at the end .

Does anyone find it weird that Penn licks the blood off his gloves, and even went as far to take some blood with his hand and lick it?????

Was born to kill ! Yeah that is weird though but they do test all fighters for aids I hope ...?

I've re-watched the vid and I am still in tears. I've said it once and I will say it again, War Wanderlei Silva.

I have never been this excited at a fight outcome. Wandy needed a fight like this. I still believe when he has his confidence no one can beat him. Im sure a confident wandy is the last thing Rampage wants.

I am thrilled that Waqndy made quick work of jardine. It is nice to see him at least back for one night. I am not sure where this leaves him in the future at 205 but either way, he looked great

Also, thrilled that Penn handled Sherk the way he did. Not surprised but pleased. Penn at 155 is now similar to GSP at 170 and Anderson at 185, no real competition left.

Yeh Penn is fkin amazing, such a well-rounded fighter. I thought the blood licking thing was hilarious. Penn will move up now I am sure, hopefully he keeps his conditioning up as he gains weight:frustrate.

SO relieved Wandy finally is back!!

Machida won, yes....but what a little b*tch...

That's what I've been saying over and over again in threads. LW, WW, and MW is pretty much owned right now in the UFC. HW is a joke and LHW is off the fvcking hook. Last night was just a LHW fans dream. 205 is fvcking stacked. God I would love to see Wand dominate at 205 again, although I don't see it happening.

I hope Penn does move up because their is really nothing for Penn at LW and nothing for GSP at WW as I said above. At the same time their is nothing for Anderson at MW so I wouldn't mind seeing GSP move up to fight Anderson and have Penn stay at LW where he really belongs. I also wouldn't mind seeing Anderson move up to LHW and challenge that stacked division. Let's go old school, a 205 and under 8 man tourny including Penn, GSP, and Anderson, and then maybe Rampage, Wandy, Lyoto, Chuck, and Thiago or Shogun:fool2: I'm losing my mind, I haven't been this amped for MMA for over a year. Thanks Wandy.

Fine line between being a b*tch and being smart. Lyoto is a super smart fighter, but also a bit too cautious. With that said, I don't know who can beat Lyoto? A precise striker like Anderson, but they're good friends.

Me too. I went ape sh*t when he KO'd Jardine. I started yelling and my Mom is staying at my house right now and she came down worried that something awful had happened. She stayed and watched the replay and the post fight interview and was like "Wanderlei seems like such a nice guy", it was pretty funny. War Wandy!

I cant see penn staying at lw much longer. mayybe destroy florian/huerta then move up.

would love anderson to move 2 205,even gsp wont beat him at 185

regarding machida,he is too cautious, but i dont see anyone at 205 beating him, maybe rampage. also, would love 2 see mo of thiago silva against better opposition .

Yeah, dude I flipped out like Joey htrowing combos in the air followed by a double back bicep pose at the bar I was at. No one else was nearly as excited. I loved it when he grabbed Jardine's neck and pounded him like that. Wand looked jacked too.

jardine hit the floor twice...nice rape choke and pummel from Wandy!!! I lost my voice from screaming at that point. good to see the axe murderer back in effect!!

btw, sherk looked noticeably smaller last night...hmmm. must be due to xyience going under.

Hahaha that's awesome. Wand did look especially jacked.

I'm thrilled Penn won and Wandy won. Post fight Penn looked clean and Sherk looked like he ran through barbed wire on purpose, but I have to say, Sherk has a lot of power. He looked like he was throwing hay maker jabs and he was like a pissed off little badger in near clinch positions. Anyway, my boy BJ got it and thats all I cared about.

It looked like Wandy knocked Jardine out in three to four seperate occassions across 8 seconds before it was officially stopped.

I was pumped when I heard Sandstorm, I still love that song.

Wandy's juicin', but who cares, so are 90% of fighters.

Yeah, I hope he comes back clean on the piss test. Not sure why anyone would think that Wand hasn't used in his career. When you have throbbing veins in your forehead, something's up.

I didn't think Sherk looked much different at all, Mr. EZE. He hung with BJ for a long time in the standup which few can do. He was even landing some decent shots, but BJ kept clipping him. I'm surprised he didn't try to shoot more. That was a great flying knee by BJ and the stoppage was appropriate as Sherk flopped unconscious for a half second.

I was really impressed by Palhares. That was a slick armbar.

What got KO of the night, BJ, Wand, that HW monster?

Reljic had some nice kicks. It looked to me like he dropped Wilson with a knee or kick (forgot which) to the body. The play-by-play I read later said a punch landed.

Thiago's sloppy on his feet. His grounding striking is great, though.

Machida looked great. Tito had nothing for him until that nice triangle/armbar attempt. Machida slipped out nicely.

Sok's sledgehammer hands are back. I love that dude, but he did look a little tentative.

I agree...totally. Machida is extremely good. I just hated to watch him run everywhere each round --- taking nothing away from his skill though. I just don't prefer his style.

Machida is an interesting fighter, hi style is not the most entertaining, and b/c of that i dont see a title shot in his future

I was trying to say something like this earlier, but I ended up ranting, so I decided not to post it. I like the way you put, I agree completely.

Wanderlei is the ****ing man. Win or Lose. I'm always a fan.

But damn Jardine was out cold for like 5 minutes.

If anyone didn't see the end of the fight here it is

why u starting rumors??:frustrate

Don't hate on Wand.

I know what it looks like when your on. I can tell. I've done it, and I've seen it. I've seen genetic freaks, but they don't have that vascularity and muscle volume. Unless you wanna tell me that Wand just lifts weights and gets big.

I agree, he is most likely on. It's possible to get like that without, but not likely. Maybe he got a hold of some of that Assault stuff.

I bet PH pulse cycles are popular these days.

Or maybe VERY VERY high doses of HGH for months along with tons of NO2 before the fight.

Yep, Wandy is back. It's great to see. Let's hope he can maintain this momentum.

I don't care for Machida in a similar way that I don't care for Liddell. Just because you get wins doesn't mean you're a good fighter- it may just mean you're a good runner, escape artist, etc. Guys that have to be chased down in order to be engaged aren't impressive to me. It's just an extreme version of time management that runs the clock out. Sure, he may win, but is he realling BEATING the other guy? I say nay.

And I'm not sure it'd be correct to say that there's nothing left for BJ at 155. Let's give Sherk a couple of fights, a halfway decent strategy, and then throw him back in there with Penn.

Yeah, a halfway decent strategy. Sherk's strategy for this fight was just God awful. What in the hell was he and his trainers thinking? Here's a guy who is unequaled in strength and wrestling skill at 155, and you have him in a boxing match. Now everyone knows BJ is probably the best in the world on the ground in MMA so even if Sherk takes it to the ground, he may not win. But I'll tell you this- he's got a much better chance of winning it that way than in a boxing match.

Sounds reasonable. It's funny to me that people think since the UFC tests that it is very unlikely that any of them juice:fool2:

I'd guess Assault is right for Wandy or possibly some of SSE's stuff. You can't have those squiggly veins like Wand had in his biceps without using.

Savage and Rogue re-emerge. Crazy week. I think Sherk realized that he couldn't take BJ down so he stood and hoped he'd wear him down. He should have used more leg kicks for sure. I think he did better than most would standing up with BJ especially with his short stubby arms. I wonder if Fisher could hang with BJ in the standup? He's quick as hell.

That's pretty funny. Was your mom disgusted by the brutality of the KO?

Once I was home for a holiday and was watching the Shield when my Mom was around. I told her a little about it and we started watching it together. It turned out to be the episode where Captain Aceveda jerks off to rape porn  It got really uncomfortable in the room. :run:

She was a little freaked out, but she is pretty clueless. She asked why Jardine didn't get up sooner, I was like ummmm, alright, talk to you later. Sounds like a fun family function. It could've been worse, you could've been caught jerking off, now that would be awkward.

great ending, good to see that Wand explosion of old

That's not weird to me.

Why not?

I don't care how pumped I am, or how much I despise someone, I would not lick someone elses blood. What about all the diseases out there besides AIDS, which I am sure they test for?

It's hard to explain, but, yes, they are tested for many diseases.

Emo, what do you think Monson's on? He's never gotten popped and gets bigger every fight. HGH and IGF?

Umm. Houston Alexander also KO'd Jardine. Whoop-dee-doo. Silva still has more to prove to say he is back. He may have a W but I would not say monkey face is back yet.

Your boy Chuck couldn't manage to do it, so it says something, but I agree he's not fully back, but it was certainly a good sign.

Jardine admitted that he overlooked Houston and he payed for it.

Jardine made a beginner mistake: never start a combination with an outside leg kick.

Wanderlei is also very good a checking leg kicks. I knew that Jardine's chimpanzee approach to this fight would be his downfall and it really was.

The fight with Houston was, although short, a back and forth exchange. Jardine dropped houston before he got knocked out.

Jardine didn't land 1 clean shot the entire fight he got knocked the **** out by Wanderlei and was unconscious for 4 minutes

I know he's admitted to use in the past, but said that he hasn't touched them in years in interviews. I don't necessarily believe that or think that you can't get around drug tests, though. Which fight did he refuge a post-fight test at?

I agree with this, I still think machida is getting just a little to much respect, tito in my mind isnt that much of a measuring stick anymore, i definitly think wandy or liddell would be a better idea of what is really there, probably wandy more than chuck, because wandy will go right at him.

I also i have no idea what sherk was thinking, I cant believe his corner was telling him to keep it standing up.

Jardine was right about the Axe Murderer of old showing up for this fight... he was wrong about Wanderlei being the underdog.
