Vomiting from dextrose?

Lately I have been having a lot of stomach problems. I was throwing up 4 - 6 times a week and generally my stomach felt like **** regardless of what foods I ate. Could be chicken curry or fucking oatmeal, they would sometimes set me off and others not. It felt similar to almost not digesting my food.

Anyhow I saw the doctor and they found nothing, gave me some antacids which I took for all of two days but made me **** like mad so I stopped per the doctors advice. However yesterday I downed my PWO shake which is 54g Whey and 50g Dextrose, I was at my girlfriends house and felt off, kind of queasy, bloated, burping alot but simultaneously not able to burp out the gas. I ended up puking a bit and finally after like an hour and a half felt better. Today i went to the gym, had my PWO and bam, I got home walking to the stoop and puked a bit of my PWO shake onto the lawn. So both PWO shakes had dextrose and both times I puked. However I have not puked from the whey as I normally take it in the morning with breakfast and feel fine.

Anyone have any ideas is it not the dextrose could it be the whey? Could it be me chugging the shake? More specifically has anyone had stomach problems relating to eating alot. I have been unable to gain weight lately even though I upped my cals to 4000 (up 800). Now I plan to up it to 4500 if no results, however this puking deal is far from ideal and the doctor has been no help, cant figure it out. Please anyone heard about this or experienced it I would like to solve this problem.

I would get rid of the dextrose and add in complex carbs like a whole grain bagel. I'd also make sure your getting enough fiber in your diet to keep your system running smoothly. Anothing thing to try is drink your shake in halves. Don't chug it all at once no need. Drink half after your workout then drink the other half 30-40mins later. Hope that helps bro
 
FOr what it's worth, whey does the same thing to me.

I used to drink a lot of whey every day. At least 3 shakes/day. I would at times get bound up and felt like crap. IT was like I wasn't digesting it, and somehow the only way it could come back out of my body was through my mouth. At the very end, I would have only one whey shake/day and it seemed every night, I would get HORRIBLE cramps and wake up vomitting like crazy...I would vomit so hard I would pop every blood vessel in my face and would still keep gagging even though I had nothing left in my stomach but pure stomach acid...nassty. :D

THe funny thing is that previous to this, I would drink whey like it was going to out of style for 2 years and never gave me any problems. I thought that I had developed some kind of allergy to whey or was just lactose intolerant...but I can chug milk still (and do) like no tomorrow..so I still to this day have no idea what was going on with the whey. SO now I only use egg white protein powder, no problems anymore.
