Vioxx???

I just got 30 25mg tabs from the doc because my shoulder's been bothering me. "It is a NSAID (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug), COX-2 inhibitor, and works by blocking the enzyme in your body that makes prostaglandins." Does anybody know anything about how it'll affect the greater cause (me being huge and ripped ). I know I avoid Ibuprofen and Acetamitophen like the plague because I read a while back that they can inhibit protein synthesis rates.

Vioxx very hard on liver should only be used 2-3 weeks at a time should not be used with AAS

and yes , being a cox-2 inhibitor , will affect pgf-2 synthesis , and its well known all NSAID s affect protein synthesis . wonder to what degree though ? most people use these things and hardly have a problem gaining muscle . be conscious of its effect on the liver though .

I agree that, even though it is well documented that they inhibit protein synthesis, anyone I've even spoken with or read reports of has never seemed to have a problem gaining that can be attributed directly or even hint to NSAID's.
