I think we all get fixed on what chems will keep what hormone in oil at what mg/ml ratios and forget some important points. You probably all know most of this, but this is just a refresher. I learned it the hard way all over again last week.
1. Don't experiment with large doses. Use no more than 1/10 ml and give it a day or so. Maybe even repeat this. This gives you an idea of sterility, pain, allergies, and whether the solution will crystalize.
2. In my experience, high mg/ml ratios give problems. There are of course a few exceptions, but in general they are a pain for the homebrewer.
3. Just because something looks good in the vial doesn't mean it's going to be stable inside you. I have half of a golf ball under my skin right now because I didn't follow these rules. Crystalline depots are no fun and will put you down.
4. Regarding #3...If the carrier and solvent leave the hormone behind too quickly, you are in trouble. Perfect reason to follow rule #1.
This may be the most uninteresting post on this board but I am trying to save everyone from learning the hard way. Now I'm wonder if I should try and drain this lump or let it go and see what happens. Damn I hate the thought of putting a dart in it.
