Wow.

What a "Coherent, well thought-out response"!

You try to posture like you're a Conservative, but anyone reading your posts knows that you're most definitely not.
Why pretend?

Nobody reading your posts is buying what you're selling, man.
That was a different comment I was responding to, so yeah. And I am a registered republican who has helped run a libertarian blog a few/several years ago. Like it or not, it is what it is. As for if anyone is buying what I'm selling, since this is a fitness/supplement forum, I actually have had a hand in "selling" quite a few things.

I'm not a "conservative" as today's Trump Party claims they are, but I guess you'd say Romney isn't a conservative either, despite him being the Republican candidate for President in 2012. And I guess McCain also wasn't a conservative either, despite being the Republican nominee in 2008. It's a shame that in 2021, a "Conservative" means "someone who supports Trump."

You know you're supposed to respond to a comment, not put your response in the quote, right? Which party gave a nearly $5 million loan to the Penguins NHL franchise owned by a billionaire who just bought the infamous Neverland Ranch for $20 million? I guess that is really looking out for "taxpayers money," right?

If you call yourself a Conservative and think Trump was not the better choice over Biden then you need to register as a socialist or Working Families Party.

I think I explained this in my first post. I’m a union worker in NYC and Trump 2020 is the first vote I ever casted for a democrat besides Bloomberg who was a Republican Mayor. Mayor Deblasio has DESTROYED NYC. The Democrats are 100% bringing a socialist agenda to America and you call yourself a conservative with this response? No way you are a conservative. How is it that I’m the democrat and can see this yet you don’t? Hilarious

In what universe is Trump a democrat? Can you not get your story straight? And I'm the one with the bad story? "Hilarious..."

Also, I think it's "vote cast," not "vote casted." Same mistake Pence made:

So maybe you really are a conservative.

I meant Trump and Bloomberg are the only 2 Republicans I ever voted for. Love how you feel the need to correct my grammar as if that validates your position. Bottom line is that you believe Biden was the better choice and you claim to be a Conservative? Just admit you’re a Bernie Bro and call it a night. Bet you also believe that far right extremism is the biggest threat to the Country.

Can you PLEASE learn how to properly respond to a quote. This is the second consecutive time you've responded to my comment within the quote. I have never been a Bernie guy. I literally have comments on AM saying as much:

On AOC and Bernie, not supporting:
She’s one-upping even old man Sanders with the Green New Deal.
and here:
Criticizing Bernie doesn't mean supporting Trump. Have you read Sanders' tax plan? It's too much.

Lol. And not even a vaccine conspiracy debate. No 5G activating microchips or forced sterilization or anything like that. WAY off topic.

You’re the one that went off topic mentioning Trump and Jan 6th. WTF did that have to do with the vaccine? A conspiracy is calling Jan 6 an insurrection.

Have you read the other nonsense that some people ITT spout in various threads. A lot of the baseless accusations and claims frankly don’t warrant a mature response. If you think that undermines my credibility, so be it. But if you think these other people have a ton of credibility, then I frankly don’t care much what your view on my credibility is. Thanks for the feedback though.

Edit: in reality, I should just not engage at all, or bow out when I see people are incapable of any level of basic logic or rational thought. Not that I’m saying that’s you at all, because it’s not.

To be fair this is the first thread I think I've seen your posts (that I remember at least). And no I have not seen that much political talk here and even less the things you mentioned. I stick to mostly on Anabolics and Supplement sections. But even if you have faced the kind of things you mention, descending to the 'same level' is eating away your credibilty in any smart persons eyes I think. But that's all. Nothing against you.

I took a little break from the forums recently, but I have posted a LOT in the supplement and nootropic sections over the years. I’d argue that I’ve contributed as much to the noot discussion on these forums as just about anyone, although it’s a fairly slow topic in the last year or even more. I’d assume you’re relatively new here (a year or two in the supplement section?). If you have a question about nootropics, I can be much more useful than on politics, as there hasn’t been one useful comment by anyone in at least the last several pages of this thread.

That said, since no one in these threads that involve politics has ANY peer-reviewed data or research to pull from, it’s all “Biden’s handlers want socialism” and “no one actually died at the Capitol riot” so of course I’m not going to apply the same rigorous, evidence based, source citing academic style posts and responses as I do there. For one, how would someone even begin to try to dissuade someone of something like that? Second, there is no “scientific method” to apply to politics and conspiracy theories, so it’s all opinion and conjecture that invariably descends to name calling, which I am admittedly complicit in. But it takes two to tango (not you, others here).

You are right I'm a new comer = ) I have read through a lot of threads though and searched things I've been interested at that moment and found my way to pretty old threads. I would love to discuss nootropics with you at some point, but I think it would only create a desire that I can't fulfill as most of the noots are illegal to order where I live in Europe. Maybe if I find a good source I can pick your brain at some point = )

I don't know much about the politics in the US and I haven't participated on any discussions regarding politics, since I am not a citizen.

Socialism in reality means means that the means of production and property are owned not by private ownership, but by the general collective/public/government. Biden (and his hypothetical handlers) can want 75% tax rates, unlimited immigration, free private university tuition, and $20/hour minimum wage and if is NOT socialism if private businesses and property still exist and are owned by people/individuals/corporations. That said, I do NOT support the things I stated above, just that they are NOT ACTUAL socialism. Both sides use the term objectively incorrectly, so not just the right. Hell, Bernie doesn’t even know what it means. Didn’t the Danish PM even tell Bernie that Denmark is NOT socialist? So when both sides use the term incorrectly, then yeah, my using it correctly will sound outrageous I suppose.

yep I won’t express a view on US politics (sometimes comment on how it’s portrayed in uk media but not my view per se) as it’s bad enough over here anyway.

we have two parties in the uk, both want to dry hump me (I’m rich enough that socialists believe I spend all day bathing in champagne and if I laid off a staff member could pay enough to end world poverty yet the conservatives see me as a peasant who isn’t rich enough to need appeasing at all) - really is a pick your poison for me.

thing is I don’t mind paying my fair share, what fucks me off is when you pay over $100k in tax (around 45% of total) and yet apparently according to the socialists it’s a disgrace I pay so little??

don’t even get me started on the fact that generally the higher tax payers have private healthcare so cost the nhs less (we are also healthier so require less), we buy more **** and pay taxes on all that as well, then any investment is also taxed at 45% and so on.

so can’t really comment on the us political situation when ours is also fucked

This. Changing the definition of established terms with centuries of use could muddy the waters of looking at past texts and applying modern definitions to them, leading to incorrect conclusions.

on the other hand several terms have different meanings today than the established versions of years ago...bad and gay are examples....for someone learning english this would be confusing?

Changing adjectives is one thing, particularly relating to slang an casual use, changing actual important terms referring to systems of economics and government is a different beast entirely I’d say.

What would you consider Venezuela in 2005? What would you consider it now besides a total hellhole? Literally the same ideology the left is pushing is what destroyed Venezuela. In 2009 Bernie was praising the progressive movement in Venezuela. Biden and the democrats are going to run this country into the ground in record time. Gas prices will continue to go up and we will lose over 1 million jobs in the energy sector. It’s amazing how they get away with this when half of them are tied to energy companies overseas. Nearly every major democrat city has a tremendous deficit because they are incompetent. NYC is deteriorating fast and I know 2 people who sold multimillion apartments for losses. They have lost nearly 50 percent of their tax revenue and I don’t see it coming back.
You can argue that we won’t ever be a socialist country but the people living in South America thought the same thing. Anyone who has lived in a so-called Communist or Socialist country will tell you that we are heading in that direction. Free College, Student Loan forgiveness, Medicare for All - they all seem like great things but how do you pay for that? People in Denmark and Norway come here to NYC for surgery for a reason.
