I just saw this movie last nite.. and I thought it rocked  The dialogue in the movie was really good- Hugo Weaving (Agent Smith in The Matrix movies) fit the part vert well IMO. The action sequences were good- best of all, the plot and message worked hand-in-hand. I will definately be purchasing this movie when it comes out.

It was definitely one of the best movies that I have seen in a while.

You think the movie's good you should read the comic! They changed the plot considerably. The comic was published in the mid-late eighties when the cold war was happening and it reflected it.
BTW the guy who wrote it also wrote League of Ex Gentlemen and the the Jonny Depp movie From Hell. And both are almost NOTHING like the movie.

I saw it saturday, great movie, Mr. Smith was awesome, he really brought you into the character, which was hard since you never see his face...

natalie portman is just hot...i wish she was straight though...

yeah..I thought she was straight..if not..I should probably stop stalking her.

I heard it somewhere, and with every single interview where they tlak about her personal life and such, she cuts it short. I think it was from an ex that was into all those gossip type magazines...

it rocked. before the movie I said to my buddies V is one of the aliens from the V series. Whats why he wears a mask. LMAO

The dialogue is soo cool!

From one of the first few scenes in the movie.. just imagine the Agent Smith voice while reading it.

This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished, as the once vital voice of the verisimilitude now venerates what they once vilified. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis-à-vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.

I thought it was good, not outstanding, but definately entertaining and good.

I suppose my favorite elements of the film were the plot twists (if you have seen it you know what I am talking about) that I honestly did not see coming, as well as Hugo Weaving's quality acting. Everyone I went with to go see it really loved it, and I am probably the only person in the group that would have given it a B instead of an A grade. Although I enjoyed how contemporary they made it, and tried to parallel many social / political factors we see emerging in our society today, I thought a few minor parts were a bit over-the-top, and not so much in a good way, in an annoying hollywoodified way. That said, I deffinately did enjoy this film, especially seeing it in an IMAX theater really made it immersive. Anyone reading who has not seen it already should go check it out if you have time!

how many "v" words are in that dialog??? jeez

gosh, were we watchin the same movie? i thought it was so heavy handed and mechanical. the action wasn't interesting. and ultimately it was pro-terrorist. me no like.

I thought the movie was great, as far as action, plot etc.

When it came to political views, I felt that this movie is a prime example of why Hollywood is so ****ing liberal. It's like a fad to be liberal these days. The whole damn movie was pretty much a criticism of current conditions & government & a huge exagerration of "how things would be in the future" if we continued in these footsteps.

How can we expect our president to do a good job if he doesn't have our support? Our country is at war, & where is our pride?

Spiderman was pro-terrorist.

Natalie Portman isn't a lesbian she said in an interview that she's not opposed to having a relationship with another women though.

If this was Pro-terrorist then what was Luke Skywalker In starwars.

I think that's quite a stretch. V was retaliating against government corruption while REAL terrorists hijack airplanes and kill 3,000 innocent civillians. V never killed an innocent person.

Precisely. It's about standing up to injustice. He's labelled as a terrorist by those who seek to turn public opinion against him. If you took the label to heart, you missed the point entirely...or you just love autocracy.

Real terrorists kill the innocent in order to exert their beliefs or punish those who do not believe the same via fear and initimidation.

It can be a very fine line, but that all depends upon who is writing the history book or reporting the news.
