Usp Labs Commercial

Ok i saw it, looks good, hopefully i can be in one with the cutting products im getting. Are you guys going to the Arnold?

Is this for TV? or where is it going to be played? I think the point could get put across a little better, maybe have slow motion at the finish or something like that, also why are they in suits?

Who ever made that commercial shouldn't give up their day job.

Ouch man! that hurts, lol

that was my first stab at advertising- just trying something different- fortunately, i got a masters in ex phys./sport nutrition instead of one in film making- so yeah- i won't quit my day job:woohoo:

You just left out the key ingredient to a successful commercial - a hot babe.

Gotta have a hot babe if the ad doesn't have a clear message.

nah- definitely not going on tv- as far as acting, i was the star of the commercial, and i don't think i am believable as a human being, LOL. it was a new idea we had- an internet commercial. my reasoning is this: people flip through the majority of commercials on tv, or record on dvr and then fast forward. same w/ print ads, when i read a magazine, i flip through the majority of them w/o even looking at them. and they both are expensive to produce, and even more expensive to buy advertising time. this was pretty low-budget, but it gets visual exposure for our product on a site that gets a lot of hits per day- the whole thing is a test- like trial and error. if it works, awesome and we have some more good ideas to go along w/ it! if it doesn't, back to the drawing board. high exposure, low advertising costs, in-house manufacture (w/ no outsourcing), referrals and word of mouth sales= cheaper product for consumer (you guys)- that's what we are all about.

btw, the reason we were in suits was the voice-over at the beginning- "Training is your business, and if you want to help your business grow, get synergized"

yeah- i was thinking the same thing- maybe some hot babes in the next one- i'm married, so i don't know a whole lot any more, besides my wife (hopefully she will read this, he-he)

w/ the hot women, maybe we can have chris cormier and paul dillett come on and say they use only usp labs products, and at the end, have the guy from the xantrax-3 commercial yell "YES!!!"

To be as constructive as possible...

What was the message that was to be conveyed?

What did I get from the message - Some guys running around in OTR suits that needed to be tailored... alot...in sneakers, a flash of the product and then the guy that was losing in the first 2 scenes lifting weight in the last.

Maybe some text/graphic in the beginning showing the product in it's actual color and or USP Labs associating that this is your product.

If no dialogue, some text showing what the product does.

geez- you guys are tough! message conveyed was an "our products" v. "their products," and our products always win- as far as the suits- we both used old ones, i really did not want to rip the shoulders and ass out of a new one filiming the commercial- and as far as shoes- have you ever tried starting out of the blocks in dress shoes?:run:

thanks for the criticism- definitely things to think about for the next one;)

Oh I know, I wouldn't want to trash a $1500 bespoke suit either. And no.. I don't think I would run track in a pair of Edward Greens or John Lobbs.

But screen print t-shirts "Us" "Them" could have worked too ;-)

But def good start to get the creative juices flowing, and I saw the contest for the commercial. Good luck to everyone!

 Hey I could get you guys on the deck of the Time Bandit (one of the crabbers in the new Discovery special on Bering Sea crabbing) The boat is from my home town and I know all the brothers well. Big waves, ice, a real mans job. Up for 40 hrs C2- pushing pots-powerfull, crushed feet cissus (I actually had my left foot crushed when a 800 lb pot fell on it, another story for another time)
