Unconquerable with invictus

My kids have the cold and I'm sitting here realizing my nose is stuffed up and my throat is a little sore. Great. Should be a good weekend. Where's my emeffin NyQuil.

Hot tea with some honey in it!! Itll help with the throat!

Oh yea dude. I know. I love me some tea.

I'm gonna hit some arms today and then come home and take some more cold medicine. I am definitely getting sick. This blows.

I did lots of tea, oj, soup, NyQuil and DayQuil and still needed 2 full days rest. It sucked for sure.

Had a killer chest workout today. Fought a cold all weekend and I'm on that downward plane now. Between my cold, studying for midterms and fighting off children my weekend sucked.

Flat bench / cable fly
135x15 / 90x12
135x15 / 100x10
185x10 / 100x10

155x3
140x4
125x5
110x6
95x7
80x8
65x9
50x10
Next set started at 200

Decline smith machine / underhand incline push-ups
(I only count the plates who knows what the bar is)

180x10 / 15

Db overhead pull / press
60x8 / 12

80x6 / 12

I think that was it. Overall it was a good lift. Actually pretty fast too. Try to keep my rest times down. I'm actually supposed to do a couple more sets but I just didn't have the gas today.

Just finished back day. Freaking beat now. I'll try and get a pic when I get home. I've slimmed down a bit but I've lost a little definition in my abs cause I haven't been working them as hard. But I have gained some definition in my arms. Which is great. Here's my back day.

Pics are poor quality. I broke my phone and the camera is a little wonky. Plus they're off center and I'm not doing them again. Lol.

I've been eating a lot of food lately. And I mean a lot. I'm not sure if it's related to invictus or not. But overall I feel like I'm gaining more definition and a little bit of size. Clothes seem to be fitting just a little better. I'm on the last week of the bottle and I'll run out soon which sucks. But it's been a great few weeks.

Awesomeness bro!

The cable incline drop sets freaking swell me up. Chest grows like two inches after the set. Lol

If you got a partner it's easier. I have to get up and change the pin every set. But it's a beast. Even though my last set is under 100lbs those ten reps don't come easy. Your at 45 reps already with ten to go. It's a lot of fun.

May try and throw them in tomorrow, sounds brutally fun

Anyone from Iron Legion or anyone with good experience with Invictus...

The label says the "ideal" location for application is chest/shoulder/clavicle area.

I have my 6 month old grandson living with me and his face and mouth tends to go all over that area.

1) I assume it would be bad for him to have face/mouth contact with applied invictus, right? I'm thinking some of it could even soak through my shirts -- or at least the vapor is strong there for a few hours after application.

2) Are there other places I can apply it without negatively impacting its effectiveness?

Once it's dry it pretty much stays dry but it can continue to absorb for a few hours. I predominantly applied to my inner thighs because I have children and didn't want it rubbing on them. I think after a few minutes when you put a shirt on you're safe. The odor will linger just like any odor.

I recall reading your log about applying to inner thigh.

You found it to be completely effective there?

It just seems odd that Iron Legion would specifically recommend the clavical/chest/shoulder area if it worked just as well in places like the thigh.

BUT, the health of my grandchild is more important, so I'll apply it anywhere I need to. I'm just hoping to hear for certain where the best options are.

BTW, how did you choose thigh vs any other place?

Sorry I'm late!!!
Insies.

I apply to my thigh too at times. Scrub it. Dry it. Apply it.

Skin has to have more open and clean pores.

Inner thigh is fine imho.
I wonder if the sack is ok?

You can use the tops of your feet and shins, if necessary.

If your shins are hairy, you'll need to at least, trim the hair down a bit though. Personally, I keep myself completely smooth from the neck down, so, it's NBD for me. :-0

I was doing reading and research on a few other transdermals and I found several different times that the inner thighs were more than acceptable.

Just saw the three posts above this one. What they said. Lol

I'm open to all those ideas. Foot/shin is most appealing because it's the least likely to have contact with my grandson.

But, I'm still trying to understand the rationale for IL's placement recommendation on the bottle. How much efficacy will I lose by applying it somewhere else? If none, why the recommendation?

I think it's a recommendation. It doesn't say it needs to be applied in only those spots. Those spots just tend to be a little softer skinned then others making absorption easier. I wouldn't recommend the bottom of your feet. It's like a warning label. It's probably not necessary but if they don't put something someone will probably be rubbing it in their eyes.

Nostrum (apparently an Iron Legion rep) suggested the feet -- but the top, not the bottom -- as an alternative, along with the shins.

Yeah, I got that it wasn't a requirement, but I was wondering how they chose that area. Could be that it was closer to the heart. Lungs. Could be there's generally less fat there. Or maybe because there's generally less hair. Lot's of possibilities. So I was hoping IL would chime in so I could make an informed decision about where to apply it.

But, with the several posts by you users, it does seem you've had plenty of success applying it nearly anywhere.

Thank you all for sharing your experiences.

I was stating that the bottoms of our feet tend to be pretty rough and thick skinned. Thus not making a good application site.
Good luck with invictus. I've really liked it.

Yeah, I know. I was just pointing out that I never intended to apply to the bottoms of my feet. :)

Thanks!

The sites we generally recommend are recommended for pretty much all the reasons stated ITT. Less body hair(usually), thinner skin, areas that are more dense with capillaries, etc. Some of it is also "carry-over" from the general recommendations associated with salvo; salvo is commonly used with PH products that react well with enzymes that are in high concentrations in the skin tissue of the recommended areas... But I digress...

You're concern here is absorption, so, let's address that. Basically, there are only a few application sites that REEEEALLY won't work well. If you're trying to avoid transfer, tops of feet, shins, quads and inner thighs are all great targets BUT you'll want to at least trim, if not shave or wax the areas, excessive body hair will hinder absorption. Additionally, exfoliating the target area in a warm shower prior to application will help a bit as well. Once the carrier is completely dry, moisturizing sites been applications will keep the areas healthy and better able to absorb subsequent doses. Finally, if you REALLY want to get crazy you can apply and then "occlude" the area by wrapping it with plastic wrap. This will not only aid absorption but it will also certainly help to prevent transfer but obviously it's not always feasible and in general not very convenient or comfortable.

Final review finally posted. Sorry for the long absence. Review is in post 2.
Thank you so much nostrum420 and everyone at iron legion. I will most definitely use this again.

I will be revitalizing my old thread until my next log or cycle.
