UGH! Motivation!?

REALLY struggling to be motivated as of late – just cant get out of bed, motivate myself to exercise or keep it going after the first workout. Ive hit the booze daily as my only way to relax.

I had some tribulous and it gave me a surge of energy, however it also made me really moody so i had to stop

Is there anything, supplement or othewise that motivates you? Im wondering if its my supplements and may start taking them last thing at night so I have more energy in the day – or adjusting them
Its got the point where im looking really tubby and I want to stop the vicious circle, Ive TRIED working out but then a day later im exhausted and cba, choosing to nap/sleep instead. 3 years ago when i was singe Id be doing p90x 6 times a week! (and still drank). Id be like a powerhouse, smashing the weights, feelign really powerful - i was on creatine, fish oil and probably nothign else other than some sort of natty test booster, but theyve made littel difference since and dont really know which is good anymore - isa test was good first run but turbned me into a pr*ck, any DAA stuff makes me freak out and the rest seem bunk. I tried aSARM a year ago, but im not really at that stat eof fitness to warrent any external hormone boosting, need the basics in check surely - like working out!

So, Im taking:
multivit (various brands), Fish oil, green tea, probiotic (Saccharomyces Boulardii), goji berry, recently started SNS thyrocaps (but was tired before this)

My suspicions were the multivit as it seemed to occure around the time of beginning them - but ask a doctor about that and he'd laugh. Ive also moved house into a DIY hell so it could just be exhaustion. What could be in the vits to do that though?

I guess its trial and error. The glum feeling has come on since dosing green tea so thats the first to stop. I need the probiotic as im a windy bugger, keeps me in check,

Ive just picked up some B vitamins and milk thistle for my liver and energy as Ive been a drinker for 15 years and probably time to cleanse, B1 being the big deficiency in drinkers. Ive also stopped drinking in the week where possible – also got st johns wort and 5htp on hand when i feel really really down.

But lets not blame the drink eh, everyone in the uk does have a drink now and again, and im not doing so much, just a few pints at the weekend (of real ale - not processed crud).

Maybe i need a doc to look me over, but if anyones had any similar experiences being out of balance like this or reactions to supplements - i just want to be healthy at the very least even if i cant jump out of bed to squat.

Makes me laugh, i used to be THE motivational speaker in my office, getting everyone i knew back into fitness but now, im the complete opposite! I wish i knew what it was that made me so energetic before, lost in the world of zillions of supplements over the years i think, creatine, ginseng and isa test plus old pes erase were my main ones i think back then but little effect today.

I also take Magnesium at night, im wondering if thats related, Ive heard people being useless the following day - coming ot think of it ive been of fit at the weekend and I was ok - Ill try that one first! That and thyroid issues, well, im on a 3,3 supp so possible relation (although ive had iforce t2 before)

This is the best I got: suck it up buttercup.

Put the bottle down and get under the bar. Stop majoring in the minors and do some work.

It's really that simple.

You think you got problems? Check out hvactech's thread...

I would focus more on what is going on in your life and your relationships with those around you before looking into supplements. Cut the drinking down or out completely and find what makes you happy. If you think it is depression or something more, please seek professional help from a therapist and reach out for help.

DO something, don't just sit there and mope. Even if its getting outside in the sunshine, having a walk, finding someone to talk to.

Relying on supplements and drinks and things like that is a crutch. so it won't solve your problems. it might seem to go away for a little bit but the next morning it will still be around.

and if you been feeling terrible for more than a few weeks then you should see a doctor.

What has changed in your life? You said you were "single". Did you get married? Kids?

I was just talking to someone about this the other day when I was dead broke walking out the gym feeling like a God..why? Because I had a defined goal. Money didn't matter....social interaction didn't matter..even though I didn't stop it. You have to find a goal whether its improving yourself, your career, etc....and go hard at it.

We all get into funks. You get bombarded daily thanks to social media and a lot of it is pure negative. You have to ignore it and focus on whatever goal you want.

you know what gets me to the gym...not wanting to look like justin beiber. Put a poster of justin beiber on your ceiling and every night before you go to bad ask yourself, do I want to look like that?

I think it mauy have been my liver detox, zappign my energy and the thyroid stuff. I want to sort my diet out next - need help
