UFC 75 Rumor : Crocop vs. Kongo

This is a little disappointing. I was hoping to see him against AA. It could be an interesting standup war, though. I guess they don't want to ruin AA's appeal.

Ditto. Granted I havent seen much of Kongo fight, but this doesnt sound that appealing at all. Kongo just seems slow and uncoordinated in his fights, the two that ive seen. He looks like a good striker, but i really am unimpressed from what ive seen.

Frankly, i think he is one of those guys that comes in with great records from lack of good competition, then faces some good fighters (or fighters that expose weakness well) and looks like straight p00p.

AA vs. CC would have been better, particularly for both fighters heading back to the UK, considering their styles and their ****ty performances last outing.

the more im reading stuff this week, the more this sounds to be solid (CK vs CC). Kongo confirmed it i believe. :(

It will basically be a kickboxing match with 4oz gloves. I guess I'm the only one who thinks it has the potential to be a great fight.

I think it will be pretty good, but with only 4 fights til retiring I would have preferred to see him in their with AA or even Sylvia.

DOH! I forgot about that. If he crushes CK, he could still fight AA or Sylvia, followed by Couture and then Fedor. He also may not really retire. We'll know if he gets the fire back after the Kongo fight.

Yeah, you may be right, he might fight more than 4 more times. Probably all depends on how the next couple go, like you said. If his word is true, and he only has 4 more fights, I would really like one of them to be against Gonzaga.

Did CC dismantle Bojansky? I've only some highlights of that fight.
Havn't seen the fight for a few years, but from what I can remember, yes, he dismantled Remy. Landing numerous high kicks and hard straight lefts and uppercuts, I believe it was a ref stoppage.

As long as there is sufficient money for CC to make, he will fight. I have a hard time believing that he will retire after his contract because, as I have said before, this is not the first time he has threatened retirement. He knows his worth and tries to get as much leverage as possible.

CC is a business man and a good one at that. Dependant upon the matchup he knows the UFC title could be his, and the Dana White marketing machine will be in high gear

I can believe that Cro Cop will retire. He's been fighting for 11 years, over 50 fights in K-1 and MMA and he has other career opportunities available.

He's a Croatian national hero, one day he might be the Prime Minister.

Me too. I actually think if anything he may fight less than 4 more times, if things don't go well in the next few fights. However, I think things will go extremely well for him against Kongo.
