UFC 73 Stacked Post Fight Discussion (Warning: Spoilers)

I honestly think Anderson's biggest weapon is his precision (with speed right there, though). He somehow manages to land almost every strike he throws. It's amazing how each strike is like a precision, laser-guided weapon.

I think that has something to do with the secret bouncing balls he was using in the Countdown.

I listened to the post-fight conference on ufc.com and the Tito-Rashad interactions were actually pretty funny. Rashad gets mad at Tito for just holding him down, ridiculous given some of his fights. Tito accuses Rashad of using Vaseline on his arms to prevent takedowns as a response to the rope grabbing accusations.

Fuk up off the night goes to Herring.... Ok so Nog pretty much knocked himself out by ducking into a lazy leg slap (no power) but did you see how long it took him to go in for the kill? WTF .. then let him up THEN laid off him the begining of the next round. WOW. If Herring would train hard and start kicking like a true Dutch trained fighter he could do some damage. Hes just lazy like his lucky kick. Props for some reversals with Nog on his back.

Shrecks G&P is boring for sure but hes a monster. His recovery from those knees was great. Dominated the black belt at his game. Passed his guard at will and mounted at will... Gotta love Hermes just for his name and doing what I always yell at the TV when I see a wrestler ... KNEEEEEEES!!!

Silva is GREAT

TITO = SHAMROCK (all bark and no bite) ... period .....Rashad = 185...period

Kenflo looked like he might get a loss but came back fast and furios and said what I was thinking....hes a finisher and we all love that.

all in all it ended up being pretty good and I gave it a 7 on a scale of 1-10

I don't know is Rashad can make 185 anymore. I know he wrestled at 174 when he was at MSU, but I really don't see him being a MW.

well hew he could cut 12lbs or so and i know hes not far from that weight now ... i think he weighed in at like 203 or sumthin. lose 10 more lbs and cut a little to make a impact...hell never make it at 205 IMO.

I see what you mean, but keep in mind that Nog has never really even been rocked in a fight before this, so Herring might have thought Nog was engaged in some theatrics to suck him down to the mat where the most dangerous BJJer in the HW division could twist him into origami. There is little doubt now that Nog was hurt, but in the instant that it all happened, I can somewhat understand Herring's reluctance. By not taking the risk and going for the finish, Herring blew what would have been the biggest win of his career. This really could have gotten him back on track.

And yes, Hermes does have the best name in MMA.

Recovery? What recovery? Except for maybe the first one, it didn't even look like the knees phased him at all. A few of those might have knocked out lesser fighters. Very, very, very impressive.
