Two Narcotics officers from local PD gave me visit tonight

Well if I remember corectly it is legal to import a prescription drug as long as it is for personal use and does not exceed a three month supply. Now this I might be able to recall applied to items like clomid and nolvadex, not schedule 3 durgs like steroids so there's no way of swinging that one. Case in point: I just ordered four tubes of Retin-A which you need a perscription for and I can tell you for a fact customs opened it and let it through. I dont post much anymore on boards but I do remember on the old boards like the underground, renegade, and the old detn8 board that this was said quite frequently. Take it for what its worth, the laws might have changed. Good luck.

Lighten up girls. Its a shame about what happened but its all part of playing the game. If your worried about the consequences then you probably shouldnt have started playing in the first place. Its illegal to possess any prescript drug without a prescript and if that concerns you, you can donate it to me and I will properly dispose of it for you. I will even take those pesky PH's or AAS's and find somewhere to dump those too if need be. :)
Everyones shaken in there boots about this incident. Relax and quit with the "what if's" and "I hope they dont come for me" crap. If your on there list then there coming if not then more power to ya.
Play smart and you wont need to worry.

I don't know if you guys have seen this so I thought I'd post it.

A Tuesday night raid in a quiet Metairie neighborhood was part of an investigation into alleged steroid sales over the Internet, according to Jefferson Parish officials.

Sheriff Harry Lee said Edward and Natalie Barton were allegedly manufacturing steroids and gamma butyrolactone (GBL) at a lab in their in their Tabony Street home.
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, the Drug Enforcement Agency, and U.S. Customs agents were at the home Tuesday night removing containers of a white powder.

Lee said the business the couple allegedly ran, liquidresearch.com, mixed the chemicals and distributed them via the Internet and in the metro New Orleans area.
Edward Barton was charged with possession with intent to distribute anabolic steroids, creation of clandestine lab, possession of GBL (a compound synonymous with steroid use), possession of marijuana, and possession of controlled dangerous substance in the presence of minor, the couple’s 3-year-old son.

Natalie Barton was charged with creation of clandestine lab, possession of GBL, possession of marijuana, and possession of controlled dangerous substance in the presence of minor.
Christopher Durel, identified as an employee of the operation, was charged with creation of clandestine lab and possession of GBL.
Officials said the investigation is ongoing to determine magnitude of the operation.
An unnamed relative of the Barton’s, who said they work with the couple in their home, said they have done nothing illegal.

According to a disclaimer on the website, “all research products offered by Liquid Research are intended for laboratory and research use only.”

Here is some more info

METAIRIE, La. -- Investigators have arrested three people and the probe is expanding after chemicals were seized Tuesday in what officials are calling the largest drug bust in the history of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.

Edward Barton, 27, Natalie Barton, 25, and Christopher Durel, 26, face charges that include possession with intent to distribute an illegal substance, possession of a controlled substance and operating an illegal lab.

Tuesday at about 10:30 p.m., agents with the DEA and the Jefferson Parish Narcotics Unit, and members of the Jefferson Parish Fire Department and the U.S. Postal Inspector's Office confiscated more than a dozen containers from the home in the 4700 block of Tabony Street in Metairie. Hazardous materials crews were then brought in to help clear out the house.

Investigators said the Bartons were selling the substance GBL -- a precursor to the date rape drug GHB -- out of the home and over the Internet. The Bartons allegedly were operating under the company name NuRave Inc.

In addition to the chemicals, agents also seized marijuana from the home, Sheriff Harry Lee said.

The Bartons have a 3-year-old child. It was not immediately clear whether the child was in the home at the time of the arrests.

Investigators are analyzing computer data and customer lists seized in the raid, and more charges may be forthcoming.

I had a feeling when they started talking about gaba on other boards and the three little letters GHB and GBL kept popping up in those threads something bad was gonna happen...not that its any of my business.

Anyone know of any of the other liquid companies have had any problems?

As long as everyone else keeps their business clean, there should be no problem..

What law enforcement is doing is just routine follow-up to their bust with LR. The same will happen if and when another gets busted as well. Basically the police get their probable cause for a search warrant, either through an informant, or by making a purchase themselves. And with the internet, that's very easy to do. The search warrant will include a search of all papers, effects, and so on. What they found with LR is what cops call a "pay-owe" sheet. A record of the past transactions that have been made, which include names, dates, product purchased, amounts, and payment methods, etc.

The cops are just exhausting all their leads, just so they can say they did and look efficient. At the same time, they are on a fishing expedition to see who will be dumb enough to "come clean" with their sins. You would be suprised as to how many people will puke all over themselves so quickly. I can see the line now...
(COPS)"the reason for this contact is because we traced a package that had been delivered to your home, and paid for with your credit card. The package in question is an illegal substance that is highly associated with the illegal use of steroids. Do you have anything to say about that?"
(JOE SCHMOE)"yes sir, I'm sorry. I knew it was illegal, but I didn't think it would ever come to this. I've been using steroids for the past few years, but I only keep a couple cycles worth at a time in my home...see, here they are."
(COPS)"thank you very much for being so honest with us, but now you are under arrest"...click...click <the sound of handcuffs>.
LOL.

If an officer comes to your door to ask about a shipment you received, do the following. Be polite. Don't start, or get involved in any arguments. If you have anything illegal in your home...do not admit to it. If they want to know about the bottles of clomid or nolva you ordered, I would tell them it was for an "friend", but give no names. Or, if you don't rush out to meet the UPS dude, and you let him place the package on your porch (like you should) then tell them you never received it. Whatever you do, if they ask to see the item in question, do not produce it! When they leave, clean your house to be safe.

Jarconis, I'm sorry to hear about the visit you were graced with. I just wish you hadn't given up your product. I'm not trying to scare you or anything, but you're not outta the woods yet my friend. If the police wish to, they can get a warrant for your arrest for the simple possession. More then likely it would be a misdemeanor. In California, you can go to drug diversion classes and have the charges dropped. Would still show up on your rap sheet as an arrest though. If they are going to get a search warrant, they have 10 days from the day they took your product to get it signed by a judge, then another 10 days to serve it. This is only if they can muster up any kind of belief that a felony had been committed. They can not obtain a search warrant for a misdemeanor.

I hope this doesn't add to your paranoia too much. Best of luck to you.

candle25 cites a good article on the legal aspect of research chemicals here:

Selling for research is one thing but selling for consumption is another. You can say what you want but the proof as they say is in the pudding. Lr's defense will, I'm sure, be "we were only selling research chemicals". While the narcs visting people could be an effort to show that it is not your local scientific community that is buying the stuff. Couple that with thier sponsorship of bodybuilding web sites and it becomes a bit more clear what they were really selling for. I believe they are just building there case. If LR decides to fight it out, some people may get a supoena (sp?). The prosecution wants to show they've done thier homework to increase the chances that LR will lay down and possibly roll over on their suppliers. At least thats what they do in the movies <VBG>. I would imagine you folks that bought clomid or nolva have little to wory about as long as that is the extent of your criminal conduct.

If Tommy Chong can get 9 months for selling glass, anyone can go to jail for selling "research" chemicals.

some people watch too many movies...getting all worked up will solve nothing. just wait and see

oh yah, i never knew there were so many forum lawyers on here ;)
