Yes, at the hotel fitness room. Friday hopefully I can get to the real gym. For some reason they don't have staff at the real gyms at 5am lol

You're doing great for the lack of options in a hotel gym!!...Reason I was asking is there's a place we saw on food network that we ve been wanting to try there. We are never passing through at the right time though...it's called Ye Old Steak House! It's supposed to be amazing!! Thought since you were having to eat out, you might like a good one to try! :)

Oh and the db's only go to 120. I asked him how I was suppose to go heavy on DB rows an DB incline presses...lol
At least I'll get a good workout in tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday!

What I didn't mention was how big this place is. It has everything. In the downstairs cardio room they have a movie screen size theatre so you can watch movies. An indoor track. Indoor basketball court. Saunas, probably 6 different rooms with different brands of equipment. Maybe 10 squat racks. List goes on and on. But only db's to 120. That's what I was making fun of!
 
That's pretty good though for being on the road.

Pricey... My gym does $60/month UNLIMITED everything for travelers. Not shabby...
 
Had a good workout this morning! Didn't track everything like I normally do because not sure what each machine was.
It was Back day and they had several HS machines for back. Low pull machine, high pull machine, a mid pull machine, and one that was like a lay pull down. I worked on all working up to 3 plates per side probably 5-6 sets each and reps in the 8-12 range.
Hit a chest supported t-bar row that you add plates to. Worked up to 4 plates. Then Db Rows 80's, 90's, 100's, 120's. Couldn't go higher because that's all they had. Back felt great and it felt good to work with some heavy weight, first time since Sunday with heavy weight. Will hit legs tomorrow!!

I suppose if you find yourself up there again (after your initial training).. you could always have a band (or band pack) with you to improvise some added resistance with those 120's.. That said, fuk me your strong.
 
Felt today's workout for sure, especially while I was eating my carbs! Carbs brought on a great pump and friggin cramps to my biceps and forearms. Had to put the phone on speaker phone this afternoon because of those cramps, couldn't hold the phone up to my ear lol!!

Got to the gym at 0545, they said it opened at 0500, door says 0700 on weekends. Sucks when you've already downed your PWO!! Back to the hotel and drank a few cups of coffee! Sitting at the gym at 0700 lol.

Never realized how costly that would be. Up here there is a chain called Good LIfe. If you are a member you can use any location in Canada if on holidays (within reason).

I hate it when I take my pre and my wife wants to run errands on the way to the gym. I couldn't imagine it being locked when I get there...

Tell them you do gym reviews. They'll probably go out of their way to cater to you.

I wish! The owner doesn't care. He bought out his biggest competitor here and everyone's contract was voided. He basically tripled the price on a lot of the old timers that had memberships for years. There are a couple smaller gyms and I'm going to see if any are close enough. This one just happened to be 1 block from the hotel. I really only need 3 more days, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday morning.

Man, their equipment here is just "different". The larger weight db's seem like they are 20 inches long. The incline bench sits really low and has bolt down brackets right where I needed to place my feet. Made it very awkward doing presses, but I still got done what I wanted!

Finally at home! But sick... Felt it coming on last night. Full blown on the 8hr drive back today. Taking Benadryl, Allegra, and NyQuil.
The good news is I got my workouts in this week. And the job seems like it's right down my alley for various experiences I've acquired over the years. Salesmanship, estimator, bidder, manager.

Hopefully I wake up and feel decent enough to get my leg workout in.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. That was a very good chest workout, followed by an even better compliment.
 
Glad the job is working out! It feels good when you are comfortable do to your experience. Heal up fast. This flu is long lasting.
 
No workout today. I feel a little better but want to kick it out of my system completely or feel at least 90% better before I go out in public. At least my head doesn't feel like it has 90 gallons of fluid in it today like it did yesterday. Slept 11 hours last night too and am sure that helped a ton.

Felt much better this morning. A little weak but probably 90% over it anyway.
Went to the gym and had it to myself for about 45 minutes. Hit legs and chest since I missed legs yesterday. Kept everything on the moderate level for me.
