Turff49 Quest for Success

Well, if you must have pic...

It's a little worse than I thought. Hate hospitals but may have to go to the ER and get it irrigated. I've mended up bad cuts and gashes before but this one is a little due to location.
Was able to get a show on the foot today and walked stiff legged. Made it to the gym for a workout but couldn't use my feet for planting or driving force. So kept things kind of moderate.

HS OHP
100 x 15
200 x 12
200 x 12
200 x 10

HS preacher curls
45 x 15
70 x 15
90 x 15
90 x 12

DB side laterals SS with front laterals
20 x 10 / 20 x 10. 4 sets of each total

Seated high incline DB curls
30 x 10
35 x 10
40 x 10
35 x 10

That's about all I could stand. Foot was throbbing.

Ouch! Are you rubbing Neosporin on it?

Wife has some stuff she puts on it. Some type of antiseptic type ointment. She was a nurse and isn't happy I refused to go to the ER. We had 2 different Skype sessions planned with the kids and Grandbaby. Just couldn't mis those...lol

Didn't make it to the gym this morning. Still tough getting a shoe on...

But, I did go outside and do some bench pressing

Incline barbell press
135 x 15
135 x 15
135 x 15
205 x 12
205 x 10
225 x 8
225 x 8
245 x 2

Hard to press with my feet right now so I was still happy with the weight and surprised how easy the 225's were. Had to pull my feet in and point my toes more out so as not to put to much pressure on that big toe. Be glad when the swelling subsides and the gash heals up. Still not sure how I didn't break it or my ankle...

Strong a** inclines, especially with the foot pain and no placement. You look jacked, outside the giant foot...

Strong as fuccccccckkkkkkk.

Thanks man! This injured toe is throwing everything off for me. The swelling in the foot is just now starting to subside. Going to hit arms later today hopefully. Missing workouts affect me more mentally than anything.

My goal is to have my incline presses back to 315 in 2015. That would put me back where I was 12 years ago.

Strong! 315 inclines is a dream for me! Heal fast.

I hope I see 315 on inclines on day too. No way as quick as you though Brian. I haven't seen it on flat (yet).

*sigh* me either....

295 on flat is as good as I've done. It's a journey, that's for sure.

Me thinks I have a lot of training years on you guys. You guys will have well surpassed my lifting by the time you get my age. I didn't hit 300 on bench until I was 38. I don't do much flat bench anymore as I can't arch my back the way I use to. Inclines have always been a little easier for me.

Toe seems to be getting better. At least the wound is staying closed now. Got in a few sets of curls today with the hopes of hitting the gym for shoulders tomorrow.

EZ bar curls - inside grip
75 x 15
75 x 18
75 x 12
75 x 15
75 x 13
75 x 15

EZ bar curls - outside(wide) grip
75 x 12
75 x 15
75 x 12
75 x 12
75 x 15

Helluva pump after those.

Ouch! Just saw your toe! Glad you're ok and didn't break it but you sure cut it up pretty good! Heal quick!

Shoulder Day!
Was able to get my shoe on this morning, although there is still swelling in the foot and toe. Wife said that the trauma to the toe and foot would probably cause the swelling to be there for a few weeks. Hope not but that seems to be the case as it's been 6 days now. Still can't flex the toe much so I walk with a limp.

HS OHP
100 x 20
190 x 12
240 x 10
240 x 10
280 x 8

DB side laterals SS front laterals
Pause on each rep at top for 2 seconds
20 x 10 / 20 x 10
20 x 10 / 20 x 10
25 x 10 / 25 x 10
25 x 10 / 25 x 10

Rear Delt machine
90 x 10
135 x 10
150 x 10
165 x 10

Upright rows
80 x 10
90 x 10
100 x 10
100 x 10

And that was it! Delts felt good when I left...lol

It's amazing how a injured finger or toe can affect so many movements! Slayed the iron anyway!

Annnnnd there's a huge OHP.

CRAZY OHP!! Wow!! I'm sure walking is quite challenging with the location of the cut! :( Way to push through and show is all up with your insanely strong shoulders.

Yesterday was an off day and today was BACK

HS ISO lateral row
180 x 10
180 x 10
230 x 10
270 x 10
270 x 10
320 x 10

Wide grip pull downs keep body stationary in seated position and pull down to chest, hold, controlled movement back to start. No jerking and no body English.
90 x 10
130 x 10
150 x 10
170 x 10
190 x 10

One arm BB rows
70 x 10
90 x 10
115 x 10
These were really causing my toe to throb so I stopped. Just no way to isolate my foot placement without the weight shifting through the movement on my foot.

HS shrugs 2 second pause at top of shrug
180 x 10
180 x 10
270 x 10
360 x 10
450 x 10

Be glad when I'm healed up so I can get back in the groove. It's really testing my patience...

It's just inspiring that you're still at it and pushing through! Hope it heals quick so you don't get too frustrated!

It's time to just cut that thing off an move on. ;)

Leg press - again, kept feet less than shoulder width to keep pressure off the toe.

450 x 10
540 x 10
630 x 10

Hell yeah! That's my goal keep gaining till I can't anymore and then I'll just go to the gym to **** around and look and all those ass and titties. :D

Those hacks and leg presses must have put some serious pressure on that toe?
Well, I turned my foot so I could keep the toe slightly elevated in the shoe and drive more force through the ankle! Heel. But yeah the heavier I went the more pressure there was and more blood flowing to that area.

Strong presses!!!!!! Nice job Brian! What no pics!

I don't take my phone in the gym. Besides it wouldn't be fair to her. She appears to either be doing it for an endorsement or she already has an endorsement. Hope to see her in there more as is like to see who her sponsor is.

You are a gentleman, a scholar and an awesome lifter!
