Trying to get lean

Hey guys this is my first post in the forum, i have been checking it for a while and it looks great.

So i am new to this whole bodybuilding thing, i started one year ago when i was really fat about 227 Ib and 6' 2.4''. and managed to be now 170Ib while gaining some muscle.

While losing fat was relatively easy (low carb diet, lots of HIIT, lifting 3 times a week), getting lean seems to be a Big challenge.

I would appreciate some critiques to my diet and workout routine:

DIET:
carbs cycling- 80-250-120-200gr
protein-240-180gr
fat-50gr

usually i only drink a protein shake for breakfast, it makes me satisfied enough through the morning.
in big carb days i eat brown bread with low-fat cheese slice
the rest of carbs come from rice

Protein sources are mainly chicken, sometimes steak, salmon;

fat sources are mainly the same as protein + olive oil

Workout routine:

Mo: legs/triceps
wed:back/shoulders
friday:chest/biceps/abs

i usually finish at the gym with treadmill and do HIIT for 20 minutes, or some other type of cardio
the other days I always do cardio;

i will try to put some pictures later today,

Hello MJcarter,
U see I have been facing the same problem that u re having right now,i.e.,getting lean and having that shredded body and one thing that I have learned in all these years is that it's just a waste of time and energy trying to get rid of those last few kilo's by doing cardio!! High intensity training's help a lot and what helps even more are those extra inches of lean muscle mass that u add with every passing day.:yup:I do not know whether this would be of any help or not but try to gain as much muscle mass as u could by doing weight training more often and that would in turn raise your resting metabolism helping u to shed those last few kilos and that dream physique!!

so cardio every day? fats are alittle low, post your stats

Great progress!
Remain consistent and be patient and you will reach your goals.
This isn't a race it's a lifestyle, and once you reach your goals set new ones so you always have something to strive for,
It will keep you motivated, and keep things fresh.
Peace
