TRT and HCG

I'm on week 5 of my protocol. So far, I've been getting 150mg Test-cyp per week. Next week I have blood work done again and then the doctor hopes to move me down to 100mg per week, depending on how things are going. So far, I feel some regained libido and energy on the Friday/Saturday (shots on Wednesdays) but it goes away by Sunday/Monday.

From what I've read, HCG is important if you want to have a chance at fertility, and possibly necessary to really realize the improved mood/libido from TRT. My doctor is open to discussing changes to my protocol, but he claims that he doesn't like prescribing HCG because "we don't really know how it works".

If I want to have more kids in the future, do I need to be on HCG now or is it okay to do TRT for ~2-3 years without HCG and then add it when I want to have another kid? If I don't need to be on it now, I can see why it's better not to do it yet. Thanks!

If you're wanting to have kids, your gonna have better odds if you add HCG to your protocol. Other than fertility issues, there's really no reason to take it. It causes more issues, mainly E2 management problems, than it's worth. For you, taking should be an option to keep as much of your natural production up.

HCG will mimic LH causing your testis to receive a signal to stay active. Without that signal they shut down, and can take a while to recover.
HCG is absolutely worth it. We know exactly the effects it has on the body. But yes you will have you control your estrogen with an AI.
