TRT and gyno flare up?

So I’ve been on TRT for 4-5 years and as of recently I’ve started to have a gyno flare up. Mainly on one side. I inject twice a week at .6ml

Here’s my bloods estradiol is cut from the photo but it’s at 19.9 pg/ml

What could be causing this random flare up? What should I do to counteract this? I have tomaxofin on hand. Any help would be appreciated

If you've already been on trt for 4 to 5 years then that's not causing your gyno flare up, something else is. Some kind of outside factors. I can't read the blood work, for some reason when I try expanding the screen it gets all blurry. That normally doesn't happen

Yea idk why it’s doing that. Here are the numbers

Test- 1469 ng/dl

Free test- 36.2 pg/ml

Prostate- 0.6 ng/ml

Dhea- 334 ug/dl

Estradiol- 19.9 pg/ml

Do you happen to know prolactin? Your test is above top range a little and your estrogen is on the low side. It can't be estrogen and taking a AI would be a bad idea. Your already at 19

Unfortunately, no I do not know what my prolactin levels are at. Would hire range test cause prolactin to rise? I’m not taking anything else other than my testosterone.

Have you added any other supplements in the past couple of months? For me I am sensitive to prolactin for gyno which I think was initially caused by MK 677. Now anything that can raise prolactin causes a small flare up. I take Inhibit P to counter that.

Not that I can remember, I took iconic formulations ultra hard like 2 months ago but outside of that nothing at all

Well, if it is gyno and it's from estrogen or prolactin then you can start with raloxefine around 75mg a day and that should neutralize it. I have gyno and if I get a flare up I hit it with 100 mg for a week or two and then 50 mg for another 2 to 4 weeks and it usually zaps it down to nothing. It's not going to tell us what the cause is but at least it'll stop your tits from growing

Take Nolva for a couple weeks...rhis works for me to kill lumps

40mg/20mg until gone

How much does weed actually raise prolactin?

OK, I’ll give that a shot. Should I lower my dosage as well? If my test levels are on the high side in that is causing any of the issues in my head. It seems logical to then lower my dosage a little bit, but you probably have more experience than I do in this. I also wanted to add that for about a month I was going through a divorce and moving and got a new job so I was not very good at keeping a tight dosing schedule and there’s a few times I would miss a injection. Could that have been the cause for fluctuation within my hormones which then through my body out of whack? I’ve been much more diligent on keeping a tight schedule and dosing as well.

I also notice a rapid increase in body fat causes issues for me. So it might help to go into a small calorie deficit while trying other things.

That would be estrogen related tho. Increasing body fat means more estrogen receptors but his estrogen is already twords the bottom of the reference range. If he has gyno it can't have anything to do with estrogen with a 19 on a scale of like 10-42

Not enough to notice anything. A insignificant amount. Many tests on the subject show no changes in prolactin at all
Yeah this makes sense.

If this were true, Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg would have a set of lactating D cups....

Has an effect on estrogen
Have you actually looked at any of the research though, some studies report a minor raise in estrogen for men and that's about it. It's also not significant. I guess if you had the perfect storm of an overweight teenager who's already gyno-prone smoking a lot of weed it might be a problem

Yes, and its contradicting. I think if you already have gyno it can worsen it or cause a flare up.
somehow indirectly triggering. I could definitely tell an increase in sensitivity when I smoked.

I agree there is conflicting information about this, I do feel like the older studies made it sound like the estrogen increase was significant and it's the newer studies that make it look like it's not significant. I can say I smoke a good amount of pot. (It's growing season here by the way lol. 6 weeks till flower:)

I do have gyno and it flares up time to time but only like once a year on cycle. Never any sensitivity from my daily cannabis consumption. But I also stay very lean and am on TRT and pretty locked in on what keeps me in check on bloods. I'm probably a significantly reduced risk because of my lifestyle factors. At the same time, like everyone I know smokes pot and I know plenty of steroid users who smoke pot and no one really is getting gyno from it that I've ever seen.

Were you a regular smoker or cannabis consumer at one point or did you notice this like when dabbling occasionally, I'm curious. I'm not doubting that it gives you increased sensitivity by the way.

Missing some shots when you only take 2 per week is very possibly a factor. @Smont that estrogen was at the time of draw. It’s not impossible that it was different when he missed his shot - and gyno is more about fluctuatio and imbalance than just straight levels. It’s about fluctuations in levels FOR YOU. Same as testosterone being more or less potent for any given individual to the next. Some guys normally have quite high or low levels and feel fine on them, after all.

Same for weed. I know multiple otherwise skinny natty guys with gyno from heavy pot smoking &/or daily drinking. Saying that you don’t have a problem with it is like me saying that I can tolerate 5g test because Dallas McCarver could. No correlation. Just means you’re good to go with what you do.

As mentioned, GH pathway can cause it. SSRIs and opiates and other meds can. Diet as well in some cases.

Based on these bloods & what we know, I’d run a little of that tamoxifen until it feels better unless you start feeling bad from using that. And add some P5P at 200mg 2x per day for good measure. Regardless of what the culprit is, these are usually some of the most practical first line answers. Ralox is the #1 choice, but Nolva works well and you have it.

Anytime you start using hormones you risk gyno. Your test estro, progesterone, and prolactin can all be in range and still develop and experience gyno. People say this isn't true but it's happened to me and others. With blood work to prove it. I have nuked estro and prolactin to nothing while having high testosterone and DHT and still suffered from gyno.
