It's my first time posting, as up to now I've only researched, and it's my first cycle as well. I'm 22, but get regular bloodwork, know for a fact my growth plates are closed and have been lifting properly for almost 3 years.
I'm halfway thru my cycle of 40mg ED trest + 30mg ED triumphalis. I've gained around 10lbs with some bloat. Strength has improved over the board, but nothing crazy (ex. squat went from barely 2 reps to 3.5 with the same weight, bench from 3 to 6). Have felt quite lethargic and irritable, but I'm generally kind of like this.
I've had some issues, that I couldn't have planned out until I hit. Mainly LACK of gyno/estro and some hair loss/shedding.
Pre cycle bloods showed only one abnormality: while test was good at 615ng/dL (I'll post the reference ranges if you want them), estro quite low at 11.3pg/mL. I decided to go ahead and do this cycle, since I figured it can only elevate my estro. I got tested a couple days ago, and test, LH and FSH all came back at basically 0. LH and FSH I can understand, but wouldn't trest show up as test? Or is this dependent on the method used and time of last dose (in my case ~2.5h before being drawn). If time of dosing is the issue, I think I'm going to switch to maybe 30mg transdermal and 10mg prew, as I believe that elevated levels over time > peaks. Estrogen was 15.7pg/mL, which still seems ridiculously low for being on cycle. Could I be more estrogen sensitive than
The hair loss thing is something I was kind of worried about, as I know I have a genetic predisposition to MPB. To prepare for this I bought some topical 5% spiro that I began applying about a week after starting the cycle (maybe too late). I also chose this cycle in part because my test base (trest) can't be 5a reduced, and thus should result in less/no DHT if anything. I am aware thou that trest could act on the scalp directly, but again there isn't too much info, as for this (and triumphalis, which I know is a DHT derivative) all I could find on hairloss is anecdotal evidence from logs and guesses like mine. So I figured these two compunds were as good of a choice as any in this regard (and they may very well be, as I don't know how I react to anything else).
I haven't lost much hair at all yet, but I do see noticeable thinning, especially around the crown and temples, and I've had other people notice it as well (they did first actually, which means I may be tricking myself into thinking it's worse than it is, but in any case, a week ago I started taking pics to log it). I'm thinking of maybe starting fina, but if trest can't be 5a reduced and triumphalis is already 5a reduced I don't see that it'll be doing much (which may be why spiro isn't doing much either).
I'd just like to hear thoughts on the estro thing, and what I can do for the hair loss.
