Tren + Dutasteride = Hair Loss?

AgentOrange

New member
I am aware that many refuse to run Deca plus finasteride in the belief that the combination accelerates hair loss.

Does anyone have any thoughts or references as to whether Tren + dutasteride would result in hair loss?

I know that there is some concern about the potential for shedding due to the progestogenic nature of tren.

Thanks.

not to get off topic- but AgentOrange, are you in Knoxville or just a UT fan? Catch the bball game tonite? I'm a student here in Knoxville.. just thought I'd ask.

Dutasteride blocks 5AR, which is the enzyme that converts testosterone into DHT, and thus contributes to hair loss. Deca and oral 5AR blockers are a bad idea, because Deca actually uses 5AR to convert into a less androgenic form, DHN.

Because Trenbolone doesnt reduce via 5-alpha-reductase, Dutasteride will have no effect on mediating Tren's negative hair loss related sides.

Your only line of defense in this case is to use a topical androgen blocker, like Spironolactone or Fluridil.

Yeah, I watched the game...:-(

I was at Florida (soooo sweeet) and South Carolina games and will probably go to Kentucky on March 1st. I was a student many moons ago and still live nearby.

Thanks BV. The 19-nor AAS are conceptually tough sometimes (at least for someone who only studies this stuff as a hobby). On the one hand, Tren lacks estrogenic activity and can't be 5-a reduced... But on the other hand, it is still fairly androgenic...

Would dutast be an OK addition if someone were running a 5-a reducible AAS (say test E for example) along with tren?

Yeah, I think so. I know Tren is derived from Nandrolone, but as long as it doesnt need 5AR to reduce then you should be OK. Like I said, Spiro/Fluridil is your best be while on a cycle to keep your hair loss issues in check. Im very prone to MPB and I didnt lose any hair, even on 1-test, which is pretty androgenic.

No ****, I thought those topical anti-androgens didnt do anything. Do you mix your own solution or use something commercial?

Dht reductase inhibitors compounds such as Dutasteride and Finasteride seems to accelerate not just Deca but many nor-testosterone and it's derivatives because many of these compounds can still convert to nor-estrodial and nor-dehydrotestosterone and Alpha reductace receptor I&II can possible stimulate this conversions

If I do use the Spiro I get it from Dr.Lee at Invalid Link Removed

Whoa, that guy has a bunch of stuff on his site.

What about Azelaic Acid instead of Spiro - ever tried that? He claims its a powerfull anti-androgen. Ive heard spiro smells like dead skunk, especially if used with Rogaine, which I use.

BV , have you done a cycle which included tren? if so, how effective was the spiro in stopping hair loss? (I'm prone to hair loss and considering using tren ace)

jimmy,

Unfortunately no, only 1-test. That's known to be quite an androgenic hormone in its own right though, and the Spiro did seem to help.
