Trehnbolic Winter Shred

i think genetics plays a huge role. My friend has a sh*tty diet, doesnt watch his macros, eats fast food 90% of the time. Drinks like a irishman, and missed workouts all the time. He is just as big as me who tracks macros, eats whole unprocessed foods 90% of the time, doesnt drink, and doesnt miss a workout.

My cousin is the same way only he's on juice 24/7 lol

So my wife gets here genes from her dad. He is heavy and always been. On the other hand her sister takes after her mom which is short and petite. So your saying it is just as easy for my wife to get lean and fit as her sister? I don't believe it. Genetics play a huge role.

Both my parents are overweight have issues with diabetes and cardivascular, same with their parents also. Guess i should stop lifting bad genetics guys.

You can fight genetics. They are still there though. If you family has bad hearts, eating healthy and training will help that, but using steroids can lead to issues of you are prone to cardiovascular issues

And you parents aren't overweight because of genetics, unless the rare case of thyroid issues, which still can be fought. If they ate right and trained to stay healthy they wouldn't be fat.

Yes but some people can get muscular and lean easier and faster than others "because of their genetics".

You people use "genetics" as a crutch, anyone can get muscular and lean regardless of genetics.
Doesn't mean you can throw genetics out the window either buddy. Genetically we will compare a health adult male with a healthy adult female, both with average genetics. If both work hard in the gym and give it there all, who gains more muscles? The man. Why? Genetics.

Some people have better insulin sensitivity. Ecto morphs, meso morph, endo morp. People have different type of muscle shapes, some short and some have long heads. Height has a factor to do with how much muscle one can have on their body (naturally and somewhat enhanced).

I agree, there is a lot of factors that come into play. But I also say genetics is one of them.

Anyone can get lean, muscular, healthy, etc. excercise/train, eat over, maitnance cals slightly to gain tissue eat under mait. To lose tissue.

under your mentality

big lean muscular= good genetics

Fat sloppy= bad genetics

Reality

Big lean muscular= eats at or slightly above maitnence cals, and trains consistently.

Fat sloppy= eats well above mait, lazy AF consistently.

Whoever said this? Lol. I said that everyone loses weight and gains muscles at different rates, muscle shape can be different, etc... Anyone could do it, but there are cases where people can't. ie those dying, muscle wasting disease, etc.

I never said that either. Just because you are fat and sloppy doesn't mean you have bad genetics. As stated earlier you can fight your genetics and be in shape.

Under you mentality anyone can be a pro bodybuilder and look like Jay, Ronnie, Dorian etc, if you push yourself. You said yourself I could be as big and lean as Jay. LOL!!!

We aren't saying fat people have bad genetics. We are saying some have to work harder than others

How convenient, soo when you see someone with a better physique than you they don't work harder/smarter than you, no not at all its their genetics.

All this is about is being able to down play others success.

From a personal standpoint, I understand your logic. It is motivational. Work hard = Achieve Results. Anyone can make positive changes in their health and physique. But you cannot deny scientific facts with personal aspirations. Genetic makeup plays a huge role in body building. Not trying to down play anyone on both sides. Science is science.

Really??? How many times are you going to try to turn this around? I'll guarantee I bust my ass in the gym just as hard if not harder than most of the people I know. But when I see someone bigger than me and in better shape I don't blame my genetics.

All this is about is being able to down play others success.

And where did this come from? I guess hardwork25 you don't even lift, it's all in your genetics SMH

Again I agree with you, as I stated before there are a lot of other factors that come into play. But to say genetics don't play a role as carbcrazy is, and to go as far as saying I can look like Jay is just asinine .

Lol. This convo. Everyone has different preference on physique and how they look. If I look at you and say damn I wish my arms were like yours, but my biceps are short and yours are long, this is genetics. Again I'm not interested in having your arms at the least, but everyone has different preferences on physique. You seem to pointing fingers at us saying that we do this. I can't speak for all us in here now, but I don't blame genetics either when I see someone that I see with a better physique. I rarely compare myself to others, if anything if I see a guy I will point out good features on him and say damn I need I work on that muscle. Never do I say oh he is a genetic freak. I understand hardwork goes into building a body

Making it seem like it is all genetics is much the same when people look at guys in shape and say oh he is on steroids so he looks like that. Hell no! He worked his ass off still to get his physique, steroids are not magic. But again steroids did help, which genetics do the same

Safe to say all your jimmies are rustling.

Wouldn't say they are as much rustling as I am shocked at the accusations you keep making because no one agrees with you when you say genetics does not play any role in some ones physique

It doesn't matter if anyone agrees with me, I know I'm right. The only reason people bring up genetics is to downplay someone's success or use it as a crutch for their own results.

So we are all pissy that others are built better and also are very unhappy with our own results? Plus everyone else in this thread that has spoken on the discussion of genetics is wrong, and only you are right?
I see.... I guess I will back out then, because you are smarter than everyone else here....

Lol, you know you are right? This isn't about right or wrong. It is about acknowledging that genetics DOES play some role in how you build your physique, no matter what way you spin this, genetics has some sort of role. Not saying genetics should stop someone from trying and it won't stop you from getting to your goals (as long as they are realistic), but depending on what deck was given to you, it will be a different road because of genetics. There are other reasons to bring up genetics as I said in other posts, ie. dieting, training, muscle formation, medical issues, insulin sensitivity, etc. A good amount of people do use genetics as a lazy way to out of working hard or to put others down, this is not what I'm saying or the others. We are saying depending on genetics it makes our journey different.

Thankfully my genetics do not allow me to weigh only 166lbs. But that has to do with my superior diet and work in the gym.

So if we all ate the exact same foods, trained the exact same way from the start for 5 years, we all would have the same body?
