Trans Resveratrol is apparently so potent in its anti-oxidant activity that it reduces the bodies adaptations to exercise effectively making the entire workout useless aside from the calorie burning.(cardio, strength gain and protein synthesis effectively neutered) according to these studies https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23878368/

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25211703/

https://examine.com/supplements/resveratrol/

With that in mind what has your personal experience with this antioxidant and has it helped or reduced the effectiveness of your strength/muscle gains and whats your interpretation of these studies?

another question would be if anyone knows where I can get 7,8 Benzoflavone without any added Trans Resveratrol

If oxidative stress were the primary stimulating factor for muscle hypertrophy, sprinters' legs would look like Tom Platz.

The Synergistic Effects of Resveratrol Combined With Resistant Training on Exercise Performance and Physiological Adaption

Resistance exercise in combination with resveratrol supplementation may be applied in the general population to achieve better physiological benefits, promote overall health, and promote participation in regular physical activities.

Although it is recommended for a healthy lifestyle, moderate exercise is known to lead to oxidative stress, inflammation and muscle injury. Hence there are efforts to develop dietary strategies to counter the oxidative stress caused by physical activity. Recently, there has been an interest in the capability of resveratrol (RES) to modulate physical performance and prevent oxidative stress. Despite the inconsistency among reports regarding the topic, it has been suggested that RES delays fatigue by hindering lipid peroxidation. It is hypothesized that RES administration produces favorable effects on hepatic cell rejuvenation, exerts a regulatory effect on glucose metabolism, and preserves liver glycogen reserves that are diminished during physical activity. Consequently, there is a growing interest in the association between RES and exercise. The aim of the current review is to interpret the association between RES and exercise.

This one a limited study on Alzheimer's patients but still a favourable outcome

Beneficial Effects of Resveratrol and Exercise Training on Cardiac and Aortic Function and Structure in the 3xTg Mouse Model of Alzheimer's Disease
Conclusion: Taken together, the results indicate that the aberrations in cardiac function and aortic elastin morphology observed in the 3xTg mouse model of AD can be prevented with exercise training and treatment with resveratrol. The benefits of regular exercise training and resveratrol supplementation of heart and aortic structure in the 3xTg mouse support the value of healthy lifestyle factors on cardiovascular health.

Effects of Resveratrol Supplementation in Male Wistar Rats Undergoing an Endurance Exercise and Acute Exercise Training
Results: The endurance and acute exercise training led to an increase in the levels of CPK and LDH, However, following the endurance and acute exercise training, a reduction in the level of carbonyl and 8-OHdG was observed. RES supplementation did not have any effect on the levels of CPK and LDH; nevertheless, reduced significantly carbonyl, and 8-OHdG levels. Based on this evidence, RES may have protective effects against exercise-induced oxidative stress.

Effects of Resveratrol on Reducing Spermatogenic Dysfunction Caused by High-Intensity Exercise
CONCLUSIONS: The present study demonstrates that after high-intensity exercise, the inflammatory cascade in the tissue of the testis increases with decreased resistance to oxidation and disordered spermatogenic function. Resveratrol can improve the reproductive dysfunction of rats that was induced by high-intensity exercise. It mostly promotes reproductive function by increasing testosterone secretion, reducing the inflammatory response, improving the antioxidant capacity, affecting the expression of spermatogenic regulatory proteins, and enhancing the signal transduction pathway of spermatogenesis.

This one is with fish so don't know how well that transfers:
The Combination of Resveratrol and Exercise Enhances Muscle Growth Characteristics in Pacu (Piaractus Mesopotamicus)
We suggest that resveratrol in combination with exercise was beneficial for muscle growth and metabolism, increasing the expression levels of genes related to muscle anabolism and oxidative metabolism, besides the decrease of catabolic gene expression. Notably, all of these changes occurred together with muscle hypertrophy and increased body weight

Don't take it right around your workout.

Again this is typically an issue of balancing benefits vs drawbacks and individual situations. I know people on the boards always want black vs white, good vs bad, but it is never that simple.

There are health benefits. Sometimes it seems excessive use of things that provide benefits to health may come at the downside to extreme goals of hypertrophy. Maybe not fully related, but I wonder if leaving a little on the table hypertrophy wise "now" ends up with better long term gains if your overall health and continued ability to train remain possible.

As usual probably more so a reason to remember that you don't need to just chug down every supplement. Ask why do I want to take this, do the presented benefits seem in line with my goals? In particular we probably don't want to take every single anti-oxidant known to man at the same time, but can weight the risks depending on what we need and what each persons goals may be.

The studies above show Resveratrol is good for teh gainzzzz.

Studies are like experts in that you should look at who is paying for them and what position the majority of them favor, though.
