Training while on gear vs my current style.....

Right now I do 2 sets of 6-8 reps, go as heavy as possible and I work out mon,wed,fri
I've made some really decent gains with this low volume style training.... now my question is that when I start my cycle later this year, would it be a smart idea to train 5 days a week and add more volume even though this split has been working well for me?
 
When I asked this question before, the response I got is that I should increase volume, but not frequency. Do more sets, but keep the same workout/rest schedule.
