Training method

I’m trying to do a recomp

I’ve been running roughly 2.5 miles a day and lifting 2 sets of 12 for biceps, triceps, abs, shoulders, squats and deaifts. I’ve been doing this 6 days a week and plan on progressively increasing weight and lowering run time. Is this a bad idea? Should I take more days off? Is it dumb to workout that many muscle groups per day and not focus on specific

You should only work out a muscle about 2x a week max from what I've heard. You should split it into something like back/ bi's, chest/tri's, legs, rest. At least that's how I was taught to do it by a personal trainer.

Are you natty or on cycle? Makes a massive difference.

Natty you want less volume and more frequency of training for example

You can work multiple muscle groups all day, everyday and still see progress. I work a hardcore construction job and I’m pretty much done with going to the gym. My strength is progressing fast and I’m about to up the calories so I’m sure my muscle growth will follow suit. I’m not natty though. I’m on sarms.

Last summer when I worked this job my progress was slower but I was natty. Whether your natty or not, my point is true. You can workout out everyday, even when your super sore, and your body will adjust. You will grow bigger and stronger.

We must also ask this, what’s your goal? Are you bodybuilding strictly for aesthetics, or are you trying to get in incredible shape? Your current plan is more designed for getting in shape. This will also improve aesthetics but it’s not the greatest plan for bodybuilding. Dorian Yates worked out three times a week for 45 minutes.
