Training during cutting

Just curious other than calorie deficit and cardio, do you all change your lifting regimen from bulking to cutting. Do you lower the weight and up the reps or anything like that?

I haven’t ever changed it intentionally before. Sometimes I’ve had to lower the weight when cutting because it’s a really delicate balance to minimize muscle loss as much as possible. That’s why powerlifters are usually thicc year round; they aren’t as concerned with aesthetics, especially if it compromises performance.

I find on a deficit my gains are less linear and have to be more thought out making maximal use of my available energy levels.
I always start out maintaining the same lifting routine then adjust as needed when I can't maintain that anymore. During a bulking phase I last far longer before I have to tweak things.
