Hi guys

What's everyone's thoughts on the right type of meal post workout? I workout in the mornings and I've always felt having a whole food meal after your workout is the way to go. I normally do eggs, some kind of beef (burgers/ground beef), toast. It's just sometimes hard to eat this much food at 6:30 in the morning like this morning i didn't feel like eating at all and had to force feed myself. Would just having a shake and oats/cereal post workout be a lot worse? Any other ideas?

Both are fine.

Build the foundation of your diet off whole foods, and branch off from there.

You need to take notes on what works best for
optimal performance
digestion
Endurance/Recovery

Play around with your sources, see what suits you, and then adjust. There is no one size fits all approach
For me I do Rice Cakes & Whey (make a small pudding/glaze with the whey and spread it onto the rice cakes)... Settles super easy and gives me enough carbs to sustain my training. I put some extra sea salt on my pre-workout meal to help with pumps during training.

^^^agreed.

If it feels like too much just eat less or something lighter and displace the calories to a later meal.

Overall intake over the day wins out so I wouldn’t stress.
