Thinking about first cycle, 21M

Good evening everyone - I'm brand new on the forum, and mainly made an account looking for advice, and answers.

First and foremost, my name is Jay, and I'm 21. I've been overweight for a while, but about two years ago decided to get on the grind. I lost 70 lbs naturally, putting me at 250, which is where I'm at now. I strength train 6x a week, and do fasted cardio 7x a week.

Aside from all that, I take Retatrutide, 5-amino-1AQ, and starting on Tesamorelin. Been taking the Reta for ~2 months.

I'm extremely committed in the gym and fuckin love it. It's a way of life for me now. I've been delving deep into AAS, PEDs, SARMs/SERMs, etc, and I can say I'm fairly knowledgeable about the basic facts now.


What I'm mainly seeking is advice. Overall advice on what type of cycle I should do for my first time, if at all. I have a vial of Test CP (250MG/ML) sitting in my room, on standby.

Just got blood tests as well. My total test is 494, and my free test is 10.2 - I'm looking to continue cutting fat while putting on good size. I think I may want to compete eventually, but for now, I want to dip my toes in the water and see how this goes.

How much more weight do you think you need to lose? You may want to get close to your target before moving to AAS and bulking. Putting on "good size" even with AAS means eating for growth. You also want to push to get your genetic max in muscle or at least close before adding the AAS in my opinion. When you finally meet those things and dive in I am a firm believer in a test only cycle for the first time.

I think I could lose like 30-40 more lbs, but I am majority muscle, so it's hard to know. I appreciate the feedback. When you say test only cycle, what type of dosing would we be talking about? And what would your takes be on test for losing weight/cutting while putting on muscle? Thanks again brother.

I appreciate the words my man. I'm certainly conflicted, hence my coming on here for advice/assistance. I'll take those words to heart. I'm not definitive on anything yet, I just feel like I want to take my "career" in the fitness world to the next level. Regardless, I may not - I know I'm young. Thanks man.

The two guys above gave you good advice.

You know the problem with us people (one of our main problems) ..... ?

We want what we want.

.... And many times, we want what we want, above all else. .... Including good advice.... And common sense.

This isn't just a problem with steroids, or fitness, etc ....

A close (female) friend of mine recently started falling for someone else I know.
.... And I know how he treats (and uses) women.
And I care about her, so I told her.
.... And at first, she was listening.... Until she realized that listening to me, would mean that she couldn't get What She Wants (We want what we want).
.... So she stopped listening.
So now .... She's heading towards a Huge heartache, instead of listening to someone who has inside knowledge of the situation.

But you skipped all the part (the Best part of the advice) about getting closer to your goal, and getting closer to your genetic max, and went straight to the "when and If you Finally do" part , to .... "How can I run it"?
.... Because You want what you want. Even if it means heartache or destruction.

I'm not picking on you, or making fun of you. We see slight variations of "you" every day, almost.

.... You come on here, and ask for good advice. .... And then when you get Actual, Good advice .... You make it clear that you weren't Really seeking good advice. What you Really wanted is for someone to validate that What You Want ... Is good, and ok.

This is a Valuable forum man, with a HUGE knowledge base.
... And the most valuable part of it ... Is that we'll give you Actual Good Advice.

21 is way too young buddy. Your brain hasn’t even fully developed yet and most likely won’t until your late 20’s. Taking gear can permanently alter your brain chemistry which is not what you want while it’s still developing.

I greatly appreciate the long-drawn out answer. You're not wrong about the validation. I was looking for answers and I suppose a part of my brain wanted someone to tell me the proper way to do it, but you make great points. I'm going to keep learning and enjoying the forum for what it is. The human mind does indeed want what it wants, but when its shown rationality, it has the option to understand or ignore. I'm choosing to understand as I know this would be a big step. I'll continue with the route that I'm on and not start anything that couldn't be reversed.

Understood man. I wanted to know for sure what my options were and I certainly don't want to permanently alter my brain chemistry, although all the recreational drugs I've done might've already done that ;D

There are some pretty damn good cutting edge natural supplements out at the moment which will put you close to prohormones gains without the shutdown.

You’re a bit too young for testosterone boosters to yield much, but if I were you I’d do a 12 week “cycle” of Anabolic Effect + AnabolicXT

With 30 to 40 lbs to lose still I 100% believe you should continue to focus on weight loss. You are taking several compounds for that. Just keep protein high and maybe look into natural non hormonal supps that might help protect against catabolic state. When you get that weight off AND feel like you are at a standstill then look to AAS. I believe people often overdose their T on a first cycle. I would shoot for 350 - 500 test cyp per week. You can split into two pins a few days apart to help prevent spikes and valleys. Equally important is to understand PCT and don't start your cycle until PCT is in hand. I've been where you are twice, once over 20 years ago and also now at 63. Trust me I understand the wish to rush to the testosterone. I fight the urge daily lol but with decent values on my test I'm waiting until the teardown is complete.

I'm gonna look into those. I read the ingredients and noticed most of em', if not all were natural, so I'm gonna do my research on each individual one and determine if I want to go down that route. I appreciate the advice, as well as the suggestion. Thanks man.
 
Pick a goal, either you're trying to cut or you're trying to build muscle you got to pick a direction.

The testosterone doesn't determine your results on cycle your diet does. Even on steroids the diet is the deciding factor.

Steroids are good at holding on to muscle
Steroids are good at building muscle when the stimulus is provided.
But steroids are not good for weight loss. (Most)

Although you can eat less and get away with it so in that sense if you want to starve yourself then being on a cycle would help retain more muscle.

I don't know your current condition but if you don't have abs then you should be cutting. Ideally on a cycle, once your abs have disappeared it means you've gone too far and it's time to end the cycle

Thanks for replyin man. I don't plan on touching the T until I've lost more weight. In reality, I'm on three different compounds, all of which are pretty much made for losing weight. I've gone from 250 to 236 (as of today) in around a month. That's with consistent diet & exercise, a cheat meal once a weekend, and my peptides/supplements. I have no doubt in my mind that I'll be able to reach my goal without it - just wanted to hear what ya'll considered.

I'm of course tempted to use the T, but I won't until/unless I deem it to be absolutely necessary. What PCT do you recommend for something like a Test only cycle? I'm asking from an informative standpoint, not because I'm gonna buy em' and get to blasting ;D (i love research and information on everything)

Those are real useful parameters to go by, thanks brother. My diet consists of around 200G's of lean proteins per day, with a semi-low carb/high fiber intake. I'm hoping the Tesamorelin will help a bit with muscle retention, however I'm banking on it more for the visceral fat loss aspects.

I do have abs, but they're not definitely. I'm still certainly a bit fluffy. I'd be what they call strong-fat, lmao.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your reply man. My goals for the future, and the present, are to lose this fat, then become a fuckin tank.

I'd hold off on actual steroids for a few more years if you can help it. But if and when you take the plunge, a pretty good starter would be 2 shots of test per week for 12 weeks. Depending on the ester and or source that would be 400-500 mgs of test per week. So long as the gear is real and you eat and train properly, that cycle will yield pretty drastic results. That's my opinion. Of course you'll want to have support supps lined up as well as a post cycle therapy.

100% noted. Thanks a lot for the reply my man. What would be a good example of support suppls? I know good PCT would be HCG + Enclomiphene or something of the likes.
