thesinner takes up too many characters: A log of my contest preparation & summer bulk

dysmorphia is a ***** huh? I'm a carbophobe for the most part, and people think I'm a lunatic when I think I'm getting soft.. same situation when I think I'm getting smaller.

Decided to take it easy today, ran a steady 4 miles. :)

So here's a look at what's coming up in my cutting schedule:

Monday-Friday (5-14 to 5-18): I start Sodium Loading: salting the crap out of everything, and drinking assloads of water, to really get the Na+ pumps going into hyperdrive.

Saturday (5-19): Sodium intake returns to normal, and I start the anabolics. I'm planning on starting with 10mg Superdrol and 6mg of TST for the first week. I will adjust dosages accordingly depending on how I feel. I will also (of course) begin taking in a little bit of carbs, to help curb the mad hypoglycemia I get from SD.

Sunday (5-27): I begin cutting sodium and water. Diet will primarily consist of oats, sweet potatoes, steak, and tilapia. Lifting will start to lull, since it's not like I'm going to build muscle during this week: I'll just come in and do a few sets to get a nice little pump going.

sure it goes without saying but watch the BP for sure man... heard some bad headache stories from TST and im sure thats due to elevated BP. GL n cant wait to see how it turns out for ya

Thanks for the heads up on the BP issues, haven't read much on that. I have a naturally low BP so hopefully it shouldn't be so bad.

ya i assume youll do fine just stay under 10mg. ive really only heard it from the fellas runnin 12mg+ who think they arent responding (my guess is most arent giving i long enough and are jsut over anxious)

Well I sent my entry form in the mail today. Now I need to think of a song to pose to for the night show. Any ideas feel free to chime in. (Last year, I posed to "F**king in the Bushes" by Oasis, which my GF (at the time) was skilled enough to edit out the lyrics.)

I'm always wearing a pair of lacrosse shorts and a crappy T-shirt.

Victory by biggie smalls!!

Shoulders & Traps:

DB Shoulder Press: 60*14 65*10 70*5
Smith Shoulder Press: 205*10 225*9 225*7
Glass Lateral Raise (all negatives): 15* 15 20*12 20*12

Smith Machine Shrugs (Behind the back): 405*12 495*10
Wrist Curls: 115*35 114*35
Standing Calf Raise: 200*15

Bodyweight Today: 174lbs  I think the weight gain is from sodium bloat, from salting EVERYTHING.

Cardio Today was HIIT on the elliptical:
For the first 30 minutes:
30 seconds maintaining an average working rate of ~800 Cal/hr
2 minutes maintaining an average working rate above 1200 Cal/hr
30 seconds maintaining an average working rate of ~800 Cal/hr

For the next 10 minutes:
1 minute maintaining an average of 600-700 Cal/hr
1 minute maintaining an average of 1200+ Cal/hr

For the last five minutes:
Maintained an average of 600-700 Cal/hr

And now I'm f*cking exhausted

how do you tell the working rate on an elliptical?

There's some sort of algorithm on the machine that does it. Look for the setting that says Cal/min or Cal/hr. I used default settings, not sure if the algorithm is based on user's weight. If it is, I burned about 15% more than it was calculating (default weight is 150lbs).

Just got my latest order from NP shipped to me today :)

Shouldn't be taking most of the stuff I've got until next week (when I start superdrol and TST), but I'll probably start taking my GABA and catching some zzz's. I've been having trouble getting to sleep at bedtime.

lol.... i was actually thinking as i wast typing that.... :wtf: would be a proper response to bout 95% of his posts..... i just am laughing too hard usually though.... btw chad when you read this you know we love you.... but not nearly as much as you love your farm animals.

Well now you're just comparing relatives to an absolute :)

Lookin good. How is the calorie restriction affecting your strength?

Rack Pulls and Incline DB Curls were down today. I felt like I could've done more with the pulls had I done them from a lower starting position.

Strength actually went up on the hammer strength exercises and DB rows, but that's to be expected since those are rather new exercises to me. With new exercises, my strength always shoots up like a heroin fiend.

Racks/DL's are funny like that.

One day you can rep out heavy weight and bust PR's.. the next time it will feel magnetized to the ground/pins with a lesser weight.

Went to go jump rope after work today, but my muscles were too tired to keep up. So I went for a nice long walk after dinner for about an hour.

What a slacker.

Random thought occured to me: So what if you are having sex, and you go past the 30 minute mark, I mean, you're probably going to be going catabolic... so you should either get off, or take a break and drink a whey protein shake, maybe some bcaa's, then optionally get back to it.

Just an update for all those who are following:

Superdrol+TST starts tomorrow!!! I'm so excited, this is my first time taking steroids on a cut.

My first week's dosing will go like this:
First thing in the morning: 10mg methyldrol-XT (Superdrol clone by SNS), 2mg TST
Late afternoon: 4mg TST
I've opted to start with 6mg of TST (instead of 8) since I've never taken it before, but have read the label is underdosed, and results don't hit at the lower dosages.

I am also going to be taking ~2g taurine 2-3x daily (might approach 3x if calf pumps get to me).

My (tentative) diet (starting on Monday) will go like this:
4am: 2g taurine, 5g BCAA's, 1TBS of my creatine/beta-alanine homebrew (see original post)
During workout: 10g BCAA's mixed in green tea (with RK)
5:30 Post-workout: 1/2tsp sesathin, 10g BCAA's (or leucine)
7am breakfast: 1/2 cup cottage cheese /w cashews or almonds
10 am breakfast #2: 1.5 can's of chunk-lite with lettuce and lite vinegrette
1pm lunch: same as breakfast#2
4pm Dinner#1: 6 egg whites, 1 yolk, 1 scoop ATW Whey Protein Blend
6pm Dinner #2: Chicken Breast or Tilapia fillets and green veggies.
8pm: 5g BCAA's, 1/2tsp sesathin

looks good brotha! and ive found when i stack stuff they tend to work better.... im guessing although underdosed, that stacked with SD the TST should give you SOME results.... and it very androgeic compared to SD's anabolic profile... should mesh well bro... plan to grow while cutting :D  gl bro still following, very interested to see how it goes for you as i got a bottle of tst sittin on tha shelf right now.

Sinner nice diet..keep up the good work.

Do you have any updated pics before you start the cut?

Bro, I started dieting the day after Easter (not sure if you were under the impression that I was beginning the cut). I don't own a camera so I can't get pics :(

I should (however) have some pic's from the contest. It was covered by Bodybuilding.com last year, and should be again this year.
Here's a link to a pic of me from last year's comp (weighing in @ 154lbs): Invalid Link Removed

I took 2nd in light-weights division (out of 2, lost to a guy who was 5'0": he was short but BIG). Right now I weight ~172lbs (while Na+ loading), and am hoping to make it in the upper end of the medium-weight class. We shall see, we shall see.

Hey, I actually got off my lazy ass and did some cardio this evening!

Jumped rope for 25-30 minutes
Did trunk twists for 5 minutes
followed up by 50 mountain climbers

Take that Emo!

This morning's cardio was back on the Elliptical (I love the ellipticals at this gym!!)

30 seconds @ 800 Cal/hr
2 minutes @ 1200+ Cal/hr
Repeated 4 times

1 minute @ 800 Cal/hr
3 minutes @ 1200+ Cal/hr (although some intervals averaged closer to 1300 and 1400)
repeated 7 times

7 minutes @ 900 Cal/hr

After that I threw in the f*cking towel. I gotta get some errands run before the cable guy comes today.

Less than 24 hours and the superdrol lethargy has already begun to set in!

At about 8pm, I mustered up the energy to do some evening cardio and jumped some rope for 25 minutes.

I will try and have measurements for you guys sometime tomorrow morning (I forgot to take them today).

You'll be happy to know, (and I know you care immensely) that I've begun to be quite profiecient at jumping rope. My ninja-like agility made me adapt quite quickly.

I just need to learn how to alternate feet now. :(

Measurements:
Left Arm (straight) 13"
Left Arm (Bent): 15"
Left Arm (Flexed): 15.5" (for kicks and giggles)
Left Calf: 15.25"
Left Forearm: 12"
Left Thigh: 22"
Chest:43.75"
Stomach:29.5"
Shoulders:48.5"

Some measurements are up (i.e. chest and forearm) some remained stagnant, and some dropped. Right now hydration is shooting all over the place so it's kinda hard to guage if it's good or if it's bad.

Slept in a little today some I'm gonna be able to do about 1/2 hour of cardio this morning before church. I'll prob go for another 1/2h-45min later in the afternoon (providing the supderol doesn't make me want to not move).

Legs:
Squat: 225*15 315*8 315*7

Didn't have a chance to tell you guys about my Nair experience over the weekend:

The ad says, "Rub on Nair, Rinse off Hair!".......they lie! Apparently Nair for men (yes they make a special male formula, which I'm beginning to believe is just women's nair in a less gay-looking container) was not designed for people with coarse bodyhair. I had to scrub really hard with a scrubby pad to get the hair to come off, and when I was finished, I had clogged up the shower drain :(

If you ever plan on using Nair in the future, I highly recommend the following protocol:
1) Apply generously to hairy areas
2) Scrub off nair using a dry rag
3) Take a shower

nair...hahaha, "we wear short shorts...." ahh the 80s
Does it burn or itch afterwards?

That's what everyone told me would happen (hence my shying away from it in the past) but no itch or burn. I also have very insensitive skin. I've spilled much stronger NaOH (the active in Nair) solutions on myself without burns either.

Nair is definitely the way to go if you've gotta lotta hair to drop: it's tons faster than shaving and no knicks. I remember the first time I ever shaved my legs, it took me an hour and a half.

Yea my wife might have me put in the funny farm if she saw me shaving my legs :)

I may blind people if I shaved my hairy legs. Luckily my chest/back aint hairy.
