The Unofficial Ice Cream thread

I'd agree on the C+ there ate far better banana pints out there.
Even the HD Artisan banana rum beat that pint out, IMO.

I really want to enjoy a banana pint, which is your guys' number 1?
1) Wegmans Banana Peelin (banana PB though)
2) 7-11 Banana Cream Pie

I think the only other banana I've had was a generic brand

Where's that from?

On the Ample Hills FB page they announced an X-Files flavor coming soon.

The main graeters webpage
They did it last year too

They released Salted Caramel Brownie Truffle which was incredible. I remember Winston and I got it first day it came out.

Jeni's have a candied pecan and black and white cookies they are eye catching
I may have to stop this weekend and try them :)

B&j peanutbutter and cookies

I had really high hopes for this as I love chunky pb and Oreos. Both mix ins were plentiful throughout the pint. I mean there were probably 4-5 whole Oreos worth in chunks ranging from mall flecks to 1/4 cookies and tons of chunky pb swirled all throughout. The base ice cream was a very basic cnc and not at all impressive.

The big issue with this was that the flavors kind of muddled together and canceled each other out. If you separated spoonfuls of pb and then ones of cookies it was great, but together just ok. I was really surprised at how poorly these seemed to fit together as pb covered Oreos are amazing. Very odd. Overall I would give it a b but I had figured it would be much better.

The reviews have been on the lower side for that new release.. Looks kind of like PB Pie from HD but with cookies.
Where did ya find it walmart?

GNO
Yup
I have tried
My core only went halfway through . The BB was tasty tho

Brownie could of been bigger and the ice creams were as expected basic chocolate and vanilla

Mild coffee fans will rejoice if they decide to scoop this one. The subtle coffee flavoring enhances as you work down the pint as it is loaded with thick chocolatec hips. The large milk chocolate chips provides a great one two combo with a coffee base. This reminds me of scooping Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz, Brewed to Matter or Talenti's Gelato Coffee Chocolate Chip. Provide a thicker ice cream base, and massive size mix-ins and you have a great scoop.

Grade: B+

I agree, but I got a solid pint of SOS here, my dark chocolate chunks were packed in heavy, plus the swirls.

Don't regret that buy at all

Double pint-ing it? Nicely done.

I have yet to see SOS in stores although it is on the CDN BnJ site.

Thats ridiculous. Blame Canada again

Come to Canada and you can see how little we have in comparison to the States, it truly sucks. For example, we have a third or less of the BnJ flavours you guys do, no new releases come here for months or years if ever so not even new at that point ha.

Why would I come to Canada after that response :)

maybe you like asian or indian girls? or cheap veggies? or free healthcare? or colder weather? or cdn exclusive candies? or poutine? ...

Or legal marijuana soon,
Or breakfast. Because bacon/syrup are our domain;)
+you can pick your scenery based on the province, BC is beautiful, Ontario is a great social experience, the East Coast is great for fishing, Quebec is a very uniquely cultured place I find worth the visit, etc. Etc.

Sorry Saskatchewan/Alberta lol plains bore me ;)

And I don't know what the hell Matthew1237 does for fun in New Brunswick

There's more to visiting a place than eating junk food

Your house says other wise with what you stock in your shelves haha

I think Boone has a nice stash as well of junk food

Cold weather I get enough snow
F dat

But speaking of ice cream
Give me a week to compile the greatness soon coming home with me :)

Uh - I pretty much lift, bang my girlfriend, play video games, study nutrition and kinesiology so I can some day because a physiotherapist..illegally smoke pot from time to time...and uh...I saw deadpool the other day - that was pretty dope. I'm not much of an outdoors person but we have some of the most beautiful scenery in North America - oh and whale watching...but theres not much of a music scene/shopping scene here which is gey

Ill let you get settled into your new place , and then we will talk a few months in.
As long as your protein game is tight that is all that matters :)

You know this how?!

Because you always claim you have too much junk food in your house and cant justify buying more.
yet when limited things come out you keep buying them ! haha

That was really only before I though I would be moving out f the province within a few months, but that has pushed back indefinitely so no worries now

That means you need a stock up in the states of ice cream mate!

In the past week I got the following orders delivered so I think I am stocked...
6 pack of Comfy Cow, half a 6 pack of Ice cream Jubilee, 8 pints from ICS, the Perry le flavors & a dozen Fiasco Gelato (CDN).

The nice thing about being canadian - at the moment - you can trade things like ice cream and when you get them they're still frozen lol.

Eh.. I did not like Comfy Cow much I hope you have a better experience.
What did you grab from ICS??
New Perry;s LE was better than the PB S'mores IMO, loaded with pretzels.

I am off to columbus saturday. I will be stopping at Graeters + Jeni's
Going to Handels next wednesday when i travel to pittsburgh for work. Already got 6-7 pints lined at the pittsburgh store and a new limited edition flavor (Red Velvet)
