The Homemade Brown Sugar ice cream and Pecan brittle really are a great one two combo. Not only is the flavor of the ice cream so rich you could eat it solo, the inclusion of the homemade pecan brittle is brilliant. Combine Sugar and butter and pecans with an already sweet and delicious base and you get a high quality offering from Ample Hills. The Thick and dense mix-ins on top of a bold ice cream base really separate this as a good flavor from Ample Hills.

Grade: B

Na, I meant that as in rocky road is a common flavor. Chess pie not so much

Its not just rocky road, they added PB Brownies as well. Plus the base is a unique chocolate

Overall Talenti kept this offering very simple, but struck a perfect balance to create a masterpiece. The base may not have been as pure are 2nd Street's Kopper Kettle Caramel, but Talenti did a great job providing a Gelato with incredible flavor. 2nd Street may get the edge with the added Caramel swirl, but this is no pint to skimp on. If you love caramel, and love caramel filled chocolate you want to grab this. Hands down one of the best off the Talenti line and worth a scoop.

Grade: A-

B&j cake my day - reasonable amount of cake pieces throughout and lots of raz swirl. Definitely heavier raz flavor than cake flavor. Overall a good offering, but not the best. Maybe a b-

Blvd classic tortoni - a strong almond flavored base was maybe the highlight of this. I expected the base to be boring but the cherry/almond flavoring was great. Mix ins were plentiful top to bottom with almonds, cherries, and cookies. This was much better than I had even hoped and I would definitely rescoop this, as well as try other flavors from these guys. RIP Blue Bell:

Listeria Still Found at Blue Bell Ice Cream Facility

The bacteria contamination that shut down Blue Bell ice cream facilities last year and brought sales to a halt is still at its home plant in Texas, according to reports.
Fox 4 reports that listeria has been found at a facility in Brenham, Texas.

Blue Bell recalled its products in April after the discovery of 10 listeria cases across four states, including three deaths in Kansas. Listeria infections are linked to serious illnesses, particularly among pregnant women and older adults.

Damn, this was some of the best ice cream I've ever had. Horrible news.

Scratch-made darkest-chocolate cookies with flecks of white chocolate in vanilla-scented cream. Best eaten under a blanket fort with a flashlight.

For sure dude, schedule is a little up in the air but we will figure something out

Word on the street is AH is coming out with a special Oscars flavour. The awards show is on Feb.28th so could be out in as little as 2 weeks...

Consider me 100% jelly
any ideas on what it will entail? LLN you hearing this? better hit up your managers in NY

Unfortunately not, but I was also told there will be "comeback flavours" in March.

Could be as little as 3 weeks

Solution, do you eat a Pint of ice cream a day? Wouldn't that put you over your macros since you are only allowed 55 grams of sugar per day?

He's closer to 1-2/week iirc

But if he allows cheat meals which I assume he does, some weeks might have "bonus pints" ;)

(I don't generally, I calculate ballpark macros, call it a re-feed and enjoy myself in moderation)

1-2x a week max
Usually 1 a week.
Where did 55g of sugar become a max from? lol

if that was the case mkretz would be dead on some occasions.

Driven got a question and need your opinion.

Do you ever have days where you take a mental break and just don't count any macros at all?

Well 55-60 grams of sugar per day is a good number range to stay within.

What is your average daily sugar intake?

Where do you get 55-60 from? You will get a different number from every source you go to. Some people drink milk and people say its horrible for you and its loaded with sugars. untrue. Milk is loaded with minerals, vitamins, calcium which is all good to enjoy. Not saying you need to make it a major source of your caloric intake, but people take things to the extreme with guidelines and recommendations.

I don't know I don't track it
Like i said i eat a pint maybe 1-2x a week max.
Rest of my foods are pretty nutrient dense.. chicken, eggs, potatoes, ground turkey, cereal's, rice, whey protein, yogurt, berries/banana's, breads/roll's, lean ham, oil's, nut butters, and i bake a few protein treats every now and then.

Yes, I do.
But I don't need to be counting macros to know the difference between having a good time and splurging for no reason.

For the first time in my life I almost have a reason, because of all these damn eating challenges being shared here I want to show what I can do lol. But budget is holding me back for now lol, the way I would want to do it anyways.

Lol at 55g of sugar... I Prob had 10,000 on Sunday

Thereabouts from the look of it lol.
How was your weight the next day?

I'm questioning the laws of physics because I was up.... 0.4lb haha. seriously. No clue how that happens with that volume of food. I was actually down 0.5 the sunday morning after eating a whole lg pizza, pint, and a bunch of donuts sat night.

Math is a funny thing

Yes, I do.

Show us!!. Someone has to challenge my 30k!

Dude I don't think I stay under 55g of sugar on a normal day lol

Watch out on a cheat day ha

yep. 3 of us have done challenges and mkretz currently holds the top spot. I have 26something and GNO has 25something IIRC

I'd like to say I hit 25k but I think my highest was 22 something. But I'm still too 3 in this thread :)
