The Ultimate Fighter

It was awesome!!! I like both of their attitudes. They both have a great sense of humor. The interviews afterward were really funny.

I can just imagine how thrilled the UFC organization is on having easily one of the best UFC fights ever on their first free cable broadcast.

I guess it's one of the best ever , but I gave up on UFC years ago to watch the far superior Pride; Fedor v Cro Crop I have more interest in, but I suspect Couture v Lidell will probably be better, just a suspicion from having seen too many superfights go dull.

If anyone's interested , Invalid Link Removed the P2P site has a 1.35GB file of the latest Pride 29, Fists of Fury, it's on alt. binaries too.

I find Pride to be better also. Fedor vs CroCop is making me so excited , I am really looking forward to it.

Shamrock has been looking like a worn down, old has-been of late. His fight with Franklin was pathetic. Bonner-Griffin easily stole the show even if it wasn't quite a technical match.

Pride (pridefc.com) has the middleweight (205) Grand Prix tournament starting 23/4 in extended format (broken in 3 events) which is the _BEST_ tournament in the history of MMA. Every top MW is in except for Couture/Liddel but the card is so totally stacked its simply fucking ridiculous. Totally fucking ridiculous.

Crocop/Fedor is rumored to be in June but Fedor is probably haggling over the biggest money fight in his career and it could drag to Christmas.

Link didn't work for me.

Works for me, just try http://www. bitsoup.org which you probably already did. That's a good tape, the Pride matches on that were better overall than the UFC 51 tape I watched last night.

My complaint with the UFC is the number of mismatches they schedule, the lack of finesee in fighters other than people like Couture and my biggest complaint is that the refs stop the fights too soon. The UFC struggled for years to get state sanction for the events and bent over backwards to change their rules and convince the authorities that it was'nt just bloody crude combat, but now, IMO, they've taken it too far in santizing out the action.

You guys ever see Superbrawl? It's like the early days of UFC, some nasty beatdowns, it's raw and fun to watch; it's where Tim Sylvia learned his chops.

It's a damn shame that we never got to see prime Couture against prime Vanderlei Silva, that's the Superfight that will never be, a damn shame.

Wanderlei Silva is excellent. I think he would destroy Couture but I know I would enjoy watching it.

Honestly... the Bonner/Griffen fight was barely sub par, but it was a great amature fight. Let them get their scars, and we'll see how good they really are. My predictions on them is all 3 of the TUF winners will lose their next 1-3 fights. That is of course if the following doesn't happen: Dana puts them against no talent scrubs, or the fights are rigged for them to win(like in franklin v shamrock). Thank you, drive through.

I'd give that fight a 10 on entertainment value and they are entry level, they're not expected to have the skills and physicality of a seasoned fighter and I applaud the UFC for starting a system to bring fresh hungry blood into a stable that's getting stale.

If nothing else, both those guys have vastly more heart now than someone like the on and off Vitor Belfort and the like, that guy reminds me of Mark Kerr, world class potential and sadly lacking in fighting spirit.

UFC needs to adopt Pride rules and allow upkicks, kicks/knees in the 4-point position and stomps. UFC does allow elbow which is good but also opens cuts a little too easily.

And Size, I feel Couture has a small advantage the cage and UFC rules.

My general feeling about Couture is that he's the fighter, besides Minotauro, who could best control Silva into a ground game and while not as good a submission man as Minatouro,he's certainly adept there and his ground and pound UFC experience would help. Silva would be a hard man to pound out, like Don Frye I think he can probably take punishment damn near forever but Silva looks vunerable to me to a Tito Ortiz style sustained elbow attack after Couture shot, mounted and held containment. IMO, he would have a better ability of holding Silva down than Quinton Jackson did, and Couture's stamina is phenemonal , it's amazing how fresh he can stay into the later stages of a fight when his opponents tire.

I can see the Natural shooting Silva's punching, a couple of standups afte rCouture had Silva down and contained , did damage and scored points but no knockout , and getting a judge's decision.

I can also see Silva doing what he did to Rampage Jackson, blitzing through Couture's defense to end it with a punch/knee flurry if Couture couldn't regain his position out of the direct attack.

Not saying Couture would win, but Randy's one smart strategic fighter, he rarely gets pulled into another's gameplan and it would be sweet to see a genuinely decent guy beat a genuinely nasty head stompin' mofo.

The Pound for Pound Nasty Never give in fight I would have liked to see would be Bas Rutten v Vanderlei Silva, did that happen, there were a few years of Pride/UFC I missed?

Gotta love Bas, that's one sly character, I always thought he would be great to bang a few beers and chase chicks with..........

Bas Rutten was fun to watch.
Unfortunately, I doubt we will see Wande vs Couture.

However, we do get to see Fedor vs CroCop. Fedor has not lost a fight in over 4 years. His ability to throw strikes from any position is amazing. It will be interesting to see how he approaches CroCop and those brutal left kicks and hooks.

Couture has been at every recent Pride event, he says he really wants the Axe Murderer, but the UFC probably won't allow their posterboy to risk losing.

Fedor, damn. How can a fat man move so fast?

Pride -Shockwave 2004 is up at mybittorrent.com, the main events are K1 Mark Hunt v Silva and Fedor v Nogueira, with about 7 other fights with Dan Henderson, Jens Pulver , Olympic wrestler Rulan Gardner and others.

Bushido6 was on PPV last night for $20. Fedor has a tuneup fight with TK and his brother Alex KOed Morais in 15sec in brutal fashion. Not many big names but the action is more technical if you enjoy that sort of thing.

Fedor is really a bulked up middleweight which makes me respect him even more for playing with the big boys.

Anybody know of a video link to Liddell knocking out Couture?

Liddell now wants Wande; such a fight would be full of fun striking. :)

Rogue...can you link the Video? You have to be a member to see the page

Why not just join up?; it's great place to get movies,TV shows and some appz.

I could link the tracker, but Bitsoup uses a passkey system and I won't associate the passkey assigned to me to people I can't be sure will seed properly, if anyone snatched it, it would hurt my ratio.

Wow, he knocked him out. Can anyone say Liddell/Couture Part 3.

Order the PPV if its still on and support the sport instead of hurting it by resorting to downloads.

Liddell looked great although I wished the fight had gone on a little longer.

Heads up for the Total Elimination PPV tonight 10EST, this is a must see even if you are a casual fan.

I was sooooo shocked that Belfort and Randelman got whooped up. Silva barely won- overall some really good fights though.

You can't be serious about Randleman. He's just a roidhead with subpar skills.

Belfort and especially Jackson shocked me.

I still expected more from him.

Randleman's got 2 more fights in his contract. If he doesn't bother to show for work in those fights, expect him to be retired.

Belfort is overrated and rarely shows up for fights. If you can last the first 3 or 5 mins with him he seems to lose confidence and thus the fight. No real surprise he lost other than the manner. All in all Total Elimination was a dissapointment. It was a stacked card but the fights were underwhelming to say the least. Maybe Pride will sign Tito even though his style won't due well. But it'll be fun to see Silva stomp his big head in.

This was my first Pride fight and I just started watching UFC again as of recently. The Belfort I remember was a BAD MOTHERFUCKER. Too bad. I do like Silva and the fact that they can stomp directly on a opponent. Damn, a heel stomp to the face, that could do some damage. Anyways, I look forward to some future Pride fights.
