The Shield

What didn't you guys like about the ending? It's, pretty much, what I expected except that I thought Vic would off himself, too. But looking back, we were all happy to see Vic work himself out of trouble so why should now be any different? Keep in mind, I actually liked the last episode of the Sopranos, though.

at first i was pissed about the ending it didnt provide any closure for me. but as i thought about it, shane had no other choice, plain and simple, although it was sick what he did to his family. There was no getting ronnie out of his jam. and as far as vic, now everyone knows all of his secrets, theres nothing left for him to hide. vic has to come to terms of everything that he has done in his past to cause all of this chaos. also, having vic work a 9-5 in a office cell, with all of those ridiculous rules was even worse than prison for him. he decided that the was going to be the shark, whether he was a cop or not. the only way for it to end was to have the whole team ripped apart, which is unfortunate but all good things have to end.

i watched every single episode and am watching the last one now.
I love this show. sad to see it go though.

I haven't seen a single episode of the shield, but all the good shows seems to stop.

Anyone remember "The Kill Point" on Spike TV? 4-5 former Marines hold up a bank and the whole first season is inside the bank......very believable, very smart and action packed...GONE....

I'll watch the shield tonight since yall say it's good, see how it is.....

I just feel like it was a ton of buildup with very little closure. Vic leaves at the end with his gun, what is he going to do? All of the stuff surrounding dutch and the serial killer kid and his mom, and no sort of ending to that? I also didn't really understand the whole point of the robert huggins character, the mayoral candidate. It's on again right now so I am gonna see if I like it better the second time. Nonetheless, this is the only non-comedy series i've ever considered a weekly must watch, I am a huge fan.

OMEN YOU CANT JUST WATCH THE LAST EPISODE! at the very least i would say watch the last season! it's very easy to get addicted to, sometimes i cant help my self and watch 3 or 4 at a time at wee hours of the night. the kill point seems lke my type of show. i'll try and find it online. anybody watch Dexter on showtime?

I liked the finale... I thought it was excellent, actually. I thought almost everything was brought to closure nicely; nothing really final because life will still go on at the Barn. I believe Shane's exit was well played, but did not like Ronnie's. I expected Vic to fess up and see Ronnie flee. And I thought Vic's exit was the best played and found it to be perfectly believable. I think too much closure would have ruined it, as I said before, life will go on at The Barn, just not for the Strike team.
Overall, I think it was the best show finale I have ever seen. I loved the show and have seen almost every episode, while I'm sad to see it go, I am happy it ended on a very high note.

Man im gonna miss this show big time, i have been watching since season 1,overall i like the ending you knew it was only a matter of time before shane did himself in but the family caught me a little off guard, ronnie on his way to prison for many years and vic stuck in his hell on earth.

idk, maybe knowing that it was the last season is what got me,.... Im so used to seeing the past seasons and being like "hellz yeah, cant wait for the next season.. Vic is a bad MF." But at least Nip/Tuck is coming back on in January, it'll give me something interesting to watch.

I was disappointed that I didn't know what happened to the kid and his mom but oh well. I think we all know what happened there.

Watched all 7 seasons. It was my favorite show by far and I never missed one. I really hate to see it come to an end also. I too was not a fan of the ending, but I guess it was fitting. Hell, Vic only has 3 yrs behind that desk and he can go from there........Kinda makes you think they left it open for a reason.

when i was in iraq last we all watched the whole series in like 2-3 weeks. it was all we watched when we were not flying. unfortunately i haven't had time to watch it since i've been home. i almost never like the way series' end and it sounds like this will be the same way. that's too bad. it was a gritty show.
