The PR Thread

I figured we should have one of these to build some camaraderie and encourage each other. No PR is too small here and any BS or **** talking (outside of light-hearted banter) will be reported.

I'll start:

I've struggled to consistently hit 6 wheels on deads and this was by far the easiest one I've done.

Nice man! I hit 505 by 2 @ 185 bw two days ago. That was a PR by me. I usually deadlift conventional tho and i torn my sheens up from riding the bar up them.

My last rep PR with deadlift. 525x2 as a final working set. Competition max was 555 so this easy double built some confidence for my deadlifts that are slow to progress compared to my squat

Haven't had any other PR's since my last competition squat of 660. Hopefully I can progress past my dysfunctional shoulders and hit a bench PR after 2+ years. Might break a big ol whopping 300lbs! lol

Good thread, Rodja. Hopefully more members outside of the PLing circle will post up their PR's.

So ur squat is about 100 pounds more than ur deadlift? Mines the opposite. My squats about 100 pounds less than my deadlift.

I compete in wraps, so that number gap is skewed, but my squat is still stronger. I don't deadlift well in competition either.

You must have a pretty nice deadlift then, man.

That's big, man. Good work.

Mine get tore up from both sumo and conventional, even if I'm coated in baby powder. It's just the bar giving you little love bites. It means she likes you.

Great idea for a thread. I hit a PR on Pendlay Rows yesterday, 215 x 5. Trying to get to 225 x 5.

Pendlay Rows are a great lift man. Also a great lift to track PR's on.

Great idea! PR yesterday DB rows 90x8

Recently PR'd in deads and squats :)

Deadlift- 530lb x1 (could have done 2)
Squat- 440 x1 (haven't tested my max in quite a while, think I've probably got 460)

Followed wendler 5/3/1 and really enjoyed it, I will do this for maybe another 2 cycles and then change it up if I stop progressing in strength.

Strong PR! Check out Capo's 5/3/1 log. He's run 5/3/1 consistently for well over a year and is still hitting PR's.

205x3 front squats
BW 146lb (as of today)

Rodja are those sabo deadlift shoes?

Diggin this thread idea. Cool to see other guys PR's
Hit 2 recently. Back squat 305x2 (first time hitting 300+ for multiple reps)
Front squat 275x3 (previous 1RM)

Front Squat PR from a couple of months ago that I'm very proud of considering it's rare enough to see 315x5 for a back squat much less a front squat.

That's great man... Some really decent weight there. Not to mention after surgery! It's a marathon not a sprint. I learnt that only after 2 injuries :)

I like that 435 is "not a lot of weight"!! It's a good start if that's what you think. Good job man.

Definitely good weight. How about some footage of that poundage getting moved

Welp, I haven't hit a PR in a few weeks but my last numbers were:

Deads: 315
Squats: 305

Gave up lifting heavy to lean down a bit.

My bench still suck because of my shoulder. :'(

Great thread!

Lol... For me squating 6+ when I was PLing 4 is to me not alot.

Ill load it to my YouTube page and ill reply with my page when it's up.

Just found this thread!! Super awesome! You guys make me feel whimpy for sure! Lol I was just excited to bench 50's for 8! Haha Great work everyone!!

Did my first powerlifting meet on Saturday. I did the bench only event and got a PR of 137.5 kg (303 lb). I had previously got 315 in training but my spotter helped a bit (no really bro it's all you), but in this case I'm pretty sure it's legit, 3 green lights said so anyway. :)

Congrats man!

And a platform lift is 100x more legit :P

Video of the 435 at 240. Please excuse the music I was at UFC gym. Before anybody says anything there's three 45s I 35 and a 25 on each side.

Background: had a 1850+ total in the 220 class about 4 years ago.
