the frat boy routine

ok so natedogg is the ONLY person who wears A&F an is NOT a homo.
LOL! Fair enough. I was starting to believe that I was really gay. Better tell the wife how close we came to breaking up on account of me being a homo.

lol hell I'll beat that, I wear nothing but A&F pretty much, especially since my closet is full of it. (I worked there for 2 years). Make fun of the clothes all you want, but I still have clothes in my closet that are 5 years old that I still wear and fit in and look good that are A&F stuff. Also I easily return 2-3 pairs of jeans and 2-3 pairs of shorts a year there because they hae a lifetime warranty, so if something rips or you grow out of it, just return it. No receipt needed.

allright enough of stealing my thread to talk about a&f.

this thread is dedicated to the science and physiology of what i coined as the "frat-boy training system"

HIT, HST, Max-OT, GVT all better watch out. FBT is on the up and up.

Might not fit at 260!!! Man that stuff gets small quick, I like their dress shirts though

the majority, not all, but the typical (stereotypical) frat kid isn't working out for himself. it's to impress the frat brothers or girls. Not to say that we aren't concerned with that, but I believe most of us are past that. Hell, we eat and breathe this **** - we even post on BB Forums!

If your closet is full of A&F clothes then you must find it difficult to hide in there - so comon out :icon_lol:

5 ultimate value combos, 20 sets of pecs and 20 sets of bis a day will make you hyooge man. Those fratboys sure are smart.

What is funny is that those big frat boys dont even know of such a thing as a bodybuilding forum-
It truly pisses me off how ignorant and stupid some people are.

I also like how they stick to the same workout everyday but complain about not gettting bigger. Or going to run on the treadmill and eating burger king after.

As far as A&F, the girls do like that ****. I have some of their pants and shorts but it is because they were only 20 bucks each on sale. I usually stick to the board shorts( surfing shorts) and white guy humor tees.

Back to the frat boys, some however are eduacted about bodybuilding, but only about 5% of them, but still. I have had good conversations with some about getting bigger and eating healthy. What bugs me the most is when I see them drink Cell-Tech after working out, yikes!LOL!

Whoever commented on the A&F clothes and needing to bulk is right. I don't know what A&F's malfunction is but the XL polos and tshirts are like saran wrap on me now. I do still like their dress shirts and jeans though, but I guess that's life as a homo. :D

i hear ya, I don't wear much A&F, mostly because its ridiculously priced...oh and Im ridiculously poor (well for clothes anyway :D), but I went in there the other week and saw a damn XL that I swear looked at the most a medium. I guess thats what you homo's like in fashion eh? :D

:icon_lol:

honestly, A&F is far from 'homo' fashion. It may be trendy, but this metrosexual bullshit is homo fashion
see atttached

That's not metrosexual, that's liberaci style gay.

i hate those male models! they are so disgusting!
I think IDEAL is Coleman and Cutler, not that dude with 10" arms and a chest that caves in.
I say put some REAL men on the runway in jeans and a wifebeater, i don't want homo shirts with every color of the rainbow.

True, A&F does size their **** hella small. But it just makes me look bigger when I wear it. Sooooo, since we're both gay, you free this weekend.

I think coleman and cutler have gone past the mark man. I like size, but ~300lbs shredded to the bone and totally dry is just past what I consider good looking. Yates when he hit 260 on stage was about as massive as I could see being.

I remember reading about Jay Cutler saying he is only that size because he wants to win Olympia and that is it. He said once he stops competing he will drop down to 220 pounds so he can move without resting along the way. I do agree we need more manly men on runways, but those guys are not healthy and they know it too. Once you are getting to the ppint where you have to lay on the couch when you are not in the gym, rather than choosing to, you might be too big. I thought Arnold was perfect at 250 pounds and I think that is where bodybuilding will start heading towards. Yeah it is cool to look like a cartoon character, as I myself would as well, but when it starts getting in the way of normal everyday functions is is time to kick back on the gear. As far as A&F and frat boys, I can see tides changing in Cali with the whole tough guy image coming back. You know the termal shirts under a fitted black tee, straight brimmed ball cap, wrist tats, dickies shorts and some old school chucks or vans. Sort of a renaissance with the new punk rock as the scape goat. I am not sure what it is like in other areas of the US.

i get what u guys are saying. my uncle was telling me he couldn't walk to the corner store when he got really big because he would be out of breath. I also remember cutler in that article you're referring to, he said something about how when you're this big, it might as well be fat because he has to do everything like a fat person.

and yea big phil, in nyc everyone is dressing like that now--the thermal shirt with a tee over it. the baseball cap with the straight brim has been around for a while too.

I don't know about you guys, but I am a fan of aeropostle. Clothes seem to be much cheaper that AE and A&F, with pretty much similiar styles, minus the bright pink everything. There is nothing wrong with pink shirts, I just think that hot pink shorts for men is beginning to cross the line. Those are some of the ugliest shorts I have seen before.

I have to agree on the A&F fittings. Incredibly small. I'm not as big as many of you on this board, but even for me I can stand it. Go to one store and the size will fit you, go to A&F and that same size is 3 sizes to small.

Go to ebay. You can buy a lot of AE, AF, and Aero **** for hella cheap new or used. In fact I'm about to buy 4 AF shirts for under 10 bucks.

so long as its basically the same judges every year at the olympia this isn't going to be the case ... its basically the same judges every year at the sports "super bowl" and that's why mass monsters have won every year since lee haney (he was huge for his day and dorian and ronnie were/are clearly the biggest) ... smaller guys like dexter will win other shows, but not the one that really matters and this will cause people like gustavo baldell and victor martinez who had very very nice shapes to abuse gh in an attempt to put on a ton of size and end up looking pregnant (gustavo isn't quite pregnant yet, but he will be in a year)

i would LOVE it if dexter could win the olympia and open the door for the troy alves/lee priests/david henrys of the world to place highly in the olympia but until then ronnie, jay, and markus will be fixtures in the top 5

I like symmmetry the best about bodybuilding, ever since I saw pumping iron for the first time. That in my idea is what bodybuilding is all about. I think Dexter is the future of the sport as the FDA starts cracking down on everything. It is true though about not being able to move because there are some top amateurs at my gym that say when they sleep they have to sleep upright because the weight on their chests keeps them fromsleeping lying down. However, Although I like symmetry way more, do you think the crowds would stay the same if there weren't freaks on stage? That is one reason the sport is growing, people want to see a circus on stage with Ronnie as the main event.

Nice idea! Damn I just dropped $70 on a pair of jeans there. Someone mentioned you can return their clothes whenever? Hell I have about 15 shirts I've grown out of. I guess it's worth a shot.

BTW IMO the pink shirts are mighty gay!

i used to work there, I believe its 30days with tags. Or after 30days, unwashed with reciept.

Yeah, I'll give it to dexter, he looks GOOD, and I'm quite sure he wouldn't look freakish at all in decently fitting clothing.

Dex deffinitely deserves to win the big one, who knows with this impending "crack down" maybe he will...

I was beginning to think that you meant you could just return clothes when ever, not with 30day money back stuff. To bad, I had some old shirts I would have turned in.

you can return them whenever if they are defective and they still have that style in. If you look at each price tag, you will notice that it says ever product backed by lifetime guarantee. I have shorts that are 3 years old, that the crotch ripped out actually 2 weeks ago, and since their short style stays the same year in year out, i returned them.
