The 2K Myth Club fundraising! Over 50 prizes to be won!

LOL. So we are $600 away guys! Almost there to our goal and almost ready for the biggest drawing and supp giveaway this board has ever seen!!! I hope maybe a few of you guys will do some logs!

after the drawing, we should set up a trade board so those who won can trade for what they really wanted!

Maybe you have not thought bout this.. But the more we invest in breast cancer, the better SERMs will be! And the more we invest in prostate cancer, the more protection guys will get on cycle. How the hell can you lose by donating?

I'd have more to donate, but I just got back from a weekend in Atlantic City and gave a hefty donation to the craps tables :sad:

this is such a great idea. this is pretty large scale but i think it would be a great idea to have some way to get small scale fund raising all of the time. i know it would be quite a job moderating this year round but i am sure somebody with the adequate reputation, know-how and dedication would be willing to help.

i am not pitching this, just my thoughts. if we could give the companies a little bit of time to recoup from this give away then re-pitch the idea, on a smaller scale. 5 prizes, 1 from 5 different companies. Each participatning company can post 1 "reply" in the form of an advertisement for their company for their respective product.
The member must donate "~$10." to be eligible for the drawing. Once it reaches "~$200.", the random drawing is done and the 5 winners must log the product here at AM.

Keep in mind that this thread has 2,331 views, 190 replies in under a month. That is a decent advertising opportunity.

I must have eatin' my Wheaties this morning or it was the recreate/AP combo :) .

What do you guys think?

Either that or a round two of this one, depending how well it all goes in the end. I'd bet most ppl. would be down for doing it again, maybe w/ a slightl smaller, faster to acheive fundraising number.

$1000, for example could probably be raised pretty fast and still attract a good amount of companies to pitch in prizes. It doesn't cost them much to give away two or three products in exhange for a ton of good will on the boards.
 
i figured i would bump this. i donated over at bb.com at now it seems like the donations have really died down trying to get the last 150 or so. its a good cause and the drawing will be fun.
