Is gainesville fairly close to you? Just an FYI, those plates typically sell in the $1/lb range. That dude's price is so cheap I got a shipping quote on them to see if it was worth me buying them lol.

It's close enough that it's worth the drive. I'm probably a week+ from being able to make the trip.

Do you search a particular way on CL to find this stuff Jim. I need to start buying bar(s) and plates! Have a storage spot to hold it all until we close on a house.

I haven't used it, I only just put it together. I'll check it in a second for pin placement, or maybe in the morning.

I know I'll like it though. It's the right height and now I don't have that wobble POS rack I had before.
 
This guy has a ton of stuff out in Davenport. The bodymasters pec/rear delt machine is a pretty good deal. I have one local to me that is listed for $850. He might take a lower price because of the upholstery color. He sells used plates for 60¢/lb. You would probably have to go in person to see if he has any bars/plates that are worth buying though.

A lot of times these equipment resellers are willing to come down in price just to clear up space.

We have one local that I've been meaning to go back to. I went in a few years ago and the place was loaded but I was only looking for a real at the time.

Some are better than others. I got a ton of stuff from a guy out here, and may go back for some plates if he is willing to play ball.

There is another in Minneola, he sells used plates for 40-60 cents/lb. He may be worth talking to as well. They are called Masters of Metal. I think they have a facebook page too.

CL is funny with some of the things people post. I saw an Eleiko set for sale on MA that was a few years old and the guy was asking for 3k. He claimed the new price was over 5k.

Eleiko website had the exact same set for $3150.

The worst part? Someone actually bought it lol.

I still need to go visit that chain guy. He was going to sell me all the scrape chains they didn't use for anchors for cheap

That's not an easy answer. My block is 200-350,. A block away could be 600-1M+ if it has river access. Jacksonville is on the up again and values are increasing.
