TGR's Modified PowerBuilding v2.0

Think I am going to be buying one of these this weekend!

How many scoops of protein do you put in?

I wondered how Select would do. They have some great flavors for dessert projects as well BUT they can be so clumpy/gritty if you don't blend it I've found. Lousy to drink straight unfortunately.

I do 2 scoops = 14-16 oz skim milk (makes BIG bowl)... so you could half or 3/4 that

Edit: Best ice creams so far for me have been from CLEAR and Select protein..

It is a huge bowl. Unless it's a meal replacement I'll do one scoop next time. I say that, but in the heat of the summer...

It's been a few years since I've had Select, but I always hear good things. '

The Clear Protein blends fine for me. Even stirred into Greek yogurt it doesn't clump.

Notes:

Endurance was good today despite feeling tired and rundown. Initial plan was 3 sets of incline but they just flew. I was surprised considering my shoulder-weakening ohp. Those felt ok, too.

Pallof press was done out the first two sets x10, upright 2x10, then alternating 1x15.

Get after it guys/gals.

Overhead pressing getting stronger! Nice job.

.

But really , is there ever TOO much ice cream, i think not!

Overhead pressing getting stronger! Nice job.

Agreed!

Nice pressing there broski. Super setting OHP with incline would be rough. Lol at the death wheel, I hate that thing.

Thanks guys.

Rest day. I have a 15 hour shift today and have to work tomorrow.

Anyone have any success with a high fat-low carb diet?

Anyone have any success with a high fat-low carb diet?

Me I did carb night for 3 months liked it a lot ate about 3000 calories a day

My thoughts on low carb
Great tool to help break you of sugar craving I found that after a couple weeks I looked forward to a big salad and to this day I still love a good salad.

I also find if I eat a lot of carbs I tend to be hungrier sooner and seem to never get enough

Did you follow keifers 10 day keto recalibration with 8hr carb window then 7 day keto with the 8hr carb window?

I'm tossing carb nite around (actually may start it Monday)

Only way I drop fat almost. I can make a deficit but if diet is all carb/protein the fat will stay on hard and I will be hungry even w lots of veggies.

If energy is primarily coming from fat seems like it rips right off of me. Also, I get weak AF from lack of glycogen and all my lifting goes to hell. But it works great if you are higher bf like me - fatter you are the poorer insulin sensitivity is.

I, too had great results with carb nite. Leanest I've been in the last four years, dropped from 226 to 214. Bailed on it because I didn't feel I was recovering from meet prep training. Now I know that what I was feeling was normal during meet prep.

I had carbs for lunch once every five days when I did it. Not optimal. But it worked

Carb nite and keifers... Anyone have PDFs?

Thanks guys!

Frosted Churro and Creatine Energy mix pretty good together in a shake with water. I just need a little more juice. 12 hours down, 2-3 to go.

Unfortunately no but I'm sure all the information is on the net .... it really easy thou basically u go 10 days ultra low carb below 30 grams on the 10th day after 4 or 5 us can eat carb he suggested processed carb pastrys cakes low fat stuff then next morning go right back too it for a minimum of 5 day or more the another carb night and so on as long as u want. Make sure u drink lots of water

You could check out carb backloading too. I just ate a ton of candy every night.

I'll try this out. Long book for an 'easy' diet.

I used to do CBL. It'll work well for you with your early AM sessions reg. Glycogen depletion in the AM will help with fat oxidation during the day an then you'll carb out at night to fuel the next day's session. Google "The Biorythym Diet". Pretty interesting, i believe The Solution here on AM mentioned it a while back.

Edit: i should rephrase that sentence: "It should, in theory, work well for you with your early AM sessions reg."

Googled and saved for later reading. Thanks.

Sent a couple of things to your gmail buddy

Got it. Thanks.

Gonna read some material this week and pick a low carb plan. In the meantime I'll start Monday negging carbs. Gonna have to do some shopping. Looks like my Greek yogurt is semi carb-hefty unless I can find another brand lower.

Good news is I love peanuts. I could eat on them all day.

You could try and find carb saver yogurt. The kroger by my house back home sold it. You may have to try and look for it online to find a store that has it.

It's actually called "carb master" yogurt. My bad

It's a 370 page book that I won't start for a couple days. Could you give me a brief answer of:

How many total cals? TDEE+/-?

How much % fat, carbs?

Never mind. Wife just came home with several tubs of cottage cheese and Greek yogurt. I'll lower carbs while I read the book.

I take it it was not the low carb yogurt lol

10g a cup. It's all good. Cutting out my rice, beans, and potatoes in the meantime will do a lot.

Honestly, I'm using my current kcal intake.

2450.

Cho equal to or less than 30g net carb

Protein at least 1g per lb of LBM

Rest is fat

After the 10 day recalibration + refeed I'll drop 200 cal and follow the above again.
