TGR's Modified PowerBuilding v2.0

Watch the dry socket warning!

Hmmmm Thomas what the heck have you been upto that your socket is all dry, things are being extracted from it....and you need to give it plenty of preventative washes ; Jacksonville strippers again? ;)

Heal up my brother to the south.

The infamous JACKSONVILLE STRIPPERS

Glad to see you looking lively, Thomas!

You know what he said in the deadpool movie: I've been to some crazy places. Baghdad, Mogadishu, Jacksonville.

Ooh, I can't wait for next DL singles day.

You know I've never had the chance to use smelling salts! How do you like them?

Never tried them, but Sean speaks highly of it. Never tried ammonia either.

Good luck on the recovery Thomas.

Thanks Brian.

Rested pain is 1/10.
Drinking and sipping food pain is 2-3/10.

Not going to risk chewing today or tomorrow.

Really, no direct pain from surgery at this time.

Swelling 6/10
Pressure 6/10
Headache from pressure 9/10

The 800mg Ibuprofen helps none with the headache that I can tell. I took it this morning and headache progressed.

5/325 Hydro helps with pressure, relieves headache, makes me sleepy. (Took it 30m ago).

Going back to work tomorrow. I can deal with headaches at work. I'll pack some spinach and protein shakes for nutrition.

Work may have been a bad idea. It took an hour of talking for the pain and swelling to start. Left about 2 pm and couldn't get to my hydrocodone fast enough. 2 hours later and I can finally eat (applesauce and protein powder). Also, an annoying convo with my wife that I could use a break from the "high calories in protein" for a few days.

Have you tried greek yogurt with protein powder in it? You might be able to get that down and it's about 45g protein with a serving of each.

And Lol. Oh boy. That sounds like a fun one.

i bet you don't give her diet recommendations...

She calling you fat? And lol protein shakes are low in calories? Hope you feel better man.

Been a while. Gonna pick some up tonight. Good suggestion.

We disagree on food stuff, especially for the kid.

Possibly, and my very limited protein shakes aren't why I stacked on weight. Nor is it any of my protein intake. Meanwhile, she's asking me if I want ice cream or pudding from the store. lol

Thanks.

Yep I'd be hard pressed to find anyone out there that is overweight because of protein sources. It's from the food that's easy to put away (processed junk, pizza, pasta, desserts, ect). Not to discount your wife or anything, but the average person's nutritional prowess is quite sad. Just the other day at work I had two girls who collectively weigh 200lbs tell me how they "always eat" and how they "eat a lot". I tried to explain to them if they'd track their calories for a week they'd see that they don't. I was dismissed lol idc

And welcome!

i'm kind of a carboholic lol, sometimes i eat a lean meal here or there but mostly each one has a fair amount of all three macros...i'm working on a hawaiin pizza and veal parm right now...gotta load up for a big clean and jerk day tomorrow morning

I'm an all carb kind of guy.

I don't stress protein intake too much, because it's incredibly easy to eat the required amount.

Carbs; I can never eat enough of.

Thomas, you must've married my wife's sister. She'll ask me the exact same thing. Or make a cake, use protein powder in it and then throw icing on it! And can't understand why I won't have a piece. After all,it has protein powder in it!!!

I don't wanna get too bulky

Swelling is up again this morning. I really thought this would be a quick recovery process.

Cleaning is going good so I'm not going to blame dry socket yet. I was told it would hurt for 1-2 weeks. Just didn't think it would hurt ME.

Wisdom teeth removal is not as trivial as one might think. It's going to take a few weeks to feel good. The deep socket takes many months to fill in.

You're supposed to have a tried-and-true remedy, like fill them in with glue. lol

It seems like recovery from wisdom teeth removal is pretty individual. I was similar to you, but i had a buddy that ate a cheeseburger 4 hours after the procedure and played baseball the next day.

Here a short story to make you feel better:
20 years ago, my wisdom tooth had to be removed. I had no money and moved recently to Paraguay.
A friend told me about a cheap quack who removed teeth, so I went there. It was a tiny woman who pointed at a chair in her kitchen.
I took a seat. She came back with ordinary pliers, put her knee against my chest and started pulling for about 3 minutes... then.... a loud "Knack!" ...and she crushed the tooth into crumbles.
You can't imagine...

I probably could chew, but the idea of getting food stuck in there and getting an infection doesn't sound great.

So excited. Repeating deadlift day for sure when I'm healed.

Can't throw those behind you when deadlifting! Lol

Wow, those look like real Beats but I know you, those are those Korean knock-offs right...lol

I'll try not to. lol

Hey! $27 from China...

The packaging seems very real. I'm not sure if they're knockoffs, if they are stolen from the distributor, or if they're a cheaper made version they sell over seas.

They sound clear and work well. This is the fourth wireless headphone I've bought from China and so far I've had 0 issues with the product. I'll never buy anywhere else again.

I'll need to get the website you get these from. Gonna go ahead and do my Christmas shopping now!

Speed pulls tomorrow probably, then continuing on with singles week. No redo on single deads so as to not pop any blood vessels.

Eh, maybe one more day.

Healing up i hope... I am pulling the trigger on those beats too...

Mine sound great. One headphone on my wife's is very low so she's trying to get a swap. First time having an issue with a product from here.

Fwiw, applesauce and protein powder go together really well.

We'll see how this morning goes. One week off coupled with not much for nutrients doesn't have me feeling that strong. I'm also going to be training with ibuprofen in me, so I have to be careful not to go too far.

I did yogurts, puddings, and shakes up until dinner last night. Then, spaghetti. Gotta keep it soft during the day because of the amount of time it takes to clean after eating and the potential to irritate the area. I find now the neighboring jaw line is as sore as the cut areas.

Also gotta up fiber. Maybe I can add back in oats today.

Holy nose tork. I felt like someone smoked a crack rock through my right nostril. Eyes got super watery too. Maybe I got too close to the bottle...

No such thing.

So it's supposed to suck?

I'm not sure I get any more awareness than what Stimul8 already provides. I'll try it for singles only. Maybe I was just taken by surprise.

He's baaaaack! Great workout chipmunk!

Tork is to wake you up and help you get fired up. You use it as a subconscious symbol to yourself that it's time to turn up and be present, and to help mask self-doubts.

Why guys who are very calm and confident don't really bother with it: why would you need to psych up violently if you already know it's done? However if you lift better with a lot of emotion it can be huge.

I pretty much only hit it for maximal attempts, or I'll gently waft it if I feel very fatigued before a hard set sometimes.

This is good to know. I do lift better 'emotional' when it comes to deads, but don't know that I felt any more this morning. I'll save it for tired/down times.

I only use it for meets, personally.

Im like hyde and really only use it on @9.5-10 attempts in the gym and maybe 2nd and usually 3rd attempts on squats/deads in meets. Also a rare "gentle waft", as hyde so eloquently put it, if im feeling run down and need a little pick me up.

Tried some of that wake up mother****er on Friday. Very powerful stuff. I lift calm a lot of the time, Thomas. It's not great for that. Or a set of reps to schedule. Big Big singles or murder sets of reps, that's where it comes in. Its part of the psych up process and goes well with loud music, people screaming in your face, or internal fire. It can be said it's not for everyone, too.
