A DB and machine day can be a great change of pace. I use to do that every 3rd week just to get some variety and hit the muscle groups differently. Hope you find that band, they ain't cheap!

Great pump, joints and biceps feel great, and I left my band again and had to go back and get it.
 
531 has been great to me. I think I'm approaching the time where doing top set AMRAPs every session isn't as beneficial as it is taxing. Maybe I need to reset my numbers every 18 weeks instead of 24. That, or switch up 531 programs.

Maybe only do the prescribed reps on the top set and then do an amrap of your first set weight. Wendler's first set last method. Then you could ride that until that's too taxing and go prescribed all the way through, then reset. Or leave more reps in the tank on your amraps.

Oh, Thomas... I'm only a couple of hundred posts behind but I'm lurking!!! I swear! . Those wobble bench benches are freaking killer! I could barely do 25 lbs.
 
At the camp. Kiddos feeder was destroyed by a bear. Mine was tampered with enough to where the feed all spilled out. Raised mine up some and will get kiddo a new one (higher) in a month or so.

No lifts today. I don't know what happened. My alarm is set but I do not recall turning it off. I even woke up 20 min pre alarm and felt somewhat rested.

Simon, we have black bears here. We actually had our first bear season earlier this year because the previous efforts to 'save the Bears' backfired, and now we have too many.

Legs felt great on fronts but wrist did not. Taking a couple weeks off them sets me back. With alternated hand placement the bar rolled too much.

Oh well, Pr anyhow. And I got t watch the game.

10#, but considering the issue I've had with fronts I'd say it was significant. I hit 250x3 once, 250x2 prior than that, and 240x4/3 once.
 
well done... i'm telling you, once you sort out your wrist problems your fs is going to be huge. i've read that a good lifter can to 75% of his 1rm a2g back squat for fronts, that puts you up there pretty well

That'd be nice. I'd love to see a 315 for reps front squat.

Until I get it, then it won't be enough. lol
 
I can say for certain that it isn't your leg strength holding back your fronts. You squat more than i do and i just did 260 for like 6@8 rpe on fronts last week. You'll see 315 in no time if you keep practicing it.

You are correct. I've been slacking on the leg press. Gonna probably have them quite a bit during my upcoming hypertrophy block, as you know.

I used to love front squats.

My best ever was a 335 x 2 IIRC, and my back squat wasn't as high as yours is now. It shouldn't be long before you're doing front squats in the mid 300s.

They feel less awkward than high bar, at least.

The extra wrist mobility I've been doing at home (micro band around elbow and top of fingers) sometimes leaves a lingering pain in the area I broke it. I wish I had been recommended doing this when I was given therapy, instead of the one-size-fits-all wrist movements.

My hips, Rt especially, was so tight. I need more mobility in between lower days.

Despite that deadlifts felt great. I was closer to wanting straps than wanting the belt.

Diet has been horrible. Ever seen those jumbo palm sized Reece's? Yeah...
 
I love Reece's but stopped eating them once I found out they had TBHQ in them as a preservative. Same TBHQ in Ramin noodles and chicken McNuggets. Google TBHQ.
