Buy a cheap suitcase and cut the side out and mount the iPad in it problem solved

Haha brilliant. No more gym bags...gym suitcases with ipad mounts are the new thing.

Bags were the first thing they banned. I like your style though.

Feel free to hide it under my Xmas tree, just sayin!

Will check out your vid later... nice PR!

Thanks man.

Nice work man. Can't see much with the back obviously. But I'd tuck the chin, helps keep things in line.

Ugh. I think I used to and someone told me to pick a spot way out in front of me and look at it. This makes sense tho

Bolton would agree with whoever told you not to.

^he talks about it at 1m45s

Bolton says he looks several feet ahead towards the floor and let's his view raise as his body pulls backwards - he doesn't fixate on an object but rather fixes the angle of his gaze. Been trying that lately but we'll see how it goes at max effort this Saturday

Isn't it awesome how jacked black tanks make you look when you're kinda fluffy? They slim the gut down so much and really accentuate my pastey yoke.

I'm surprised the 7th hitched like that; it was moving pretty fast. A PR is a PR man, nice work.

Ha, yeah. Diets coming soon.

It's possible I could've forced it. May have tried if I didn't know 6 was a PR. Never failed there before except for one grip related lift.

I wouldn't say a spot way out in front. Idk maybe 10 ft, I think just keeping a straight line from the head down is just idea.

I don't look at a spot either, but I do raise my eye level. If I had to guess, I'd say the judge's feet. The way you could make sure your back is flat is to load your hams and then squat down to the bar. If you don't feel your hips and hams very tight at the bottom, you're feeding slack with your lower back. Then I tip back into the lift and go.

I stepped on the scale yesterday and was 231. Surprised the crap out of me. My diet has been terrible and my workouts sporadic, but I've maintained the same weight for several months. This is good news, except I remember saying this last year at 210# and I let my diet go more and ballooned up.

Good news is it shouldn't take much effort to drop about 30.

OHP and whatever I decide to do this morning. Olive Garden for lunch to take an employee out who's leaving. I'm excited.

Smoked and pumped. Feeling jacked like Swim.

OHP is not progressing. However, I'm doing other movements that help fatigue me. I may switch to a higher volume routine on shoulders.

OBSERVATION:
My left shoulder always hurts on inclines… Unless, I grab the bar only and get on the incline bench and pull the bar down with my left side while pushing against it on my right side. This seems to open up my shoulder and prevents that sharp pain I would typically get at the bottom.

No pain today.

Beast lifts as usual. I really like the ShouldeRok for loosening up the chest and shoulders.

The scale is good for reference but I use my waist measurement (both flexed and relaxed) as my main indicator for fat gain. If I'm climbing in weight and the waist stays the same then I know it's more muscle than fat - geez, I hope anyway.

Nice work man. The OHP can hit a plato and be hard to get moving. Pretty much what happened to me too. Since I've been doing the higher volume stuff my shoulders at least look bigger. Haven't tested my max though.

Yeah, the SR fluffed my lats up and made a nice OHP shelf. I don't think I have a tape measure large enough to go around my belly...

Yeah, I'll go to higher volume too. Bench has been progressing even though OHP has not.

You can easily drop down to 220 over next couple months and evaluate. If you get down to 207-10 you'll be at a great weight to do a meet at 198 too. Just sayin'.

I probably could get to 220 on water drop alone.

So disappointed. I think I hit 395 for 7 a few weeks ago. However, 5's buildup always wears me down

Edit: it was 395x6 on a 3's week.

Alright, so as embarrassing as it is, I laughed my a$$ off and I figured you guys would too, at my expense.

A buddy photoshopped my head as a practical joke and gave the below card out to several employees and even mailed my wife one.

Fwiw, I don't own any cats. You have to read the bottom also....

Lol!

Going strong buddy!!
Sitting on a beach in the Bahamas reading about your hard work!

That is so awesome thank you for sharing that! Cracked me up; that's the best kind of office humor

Yeah, it was a brilliant prank.

I just watched my squats for the first time. They were fast. I don't know why they felt so heavy. Mental, maybe.

At the hunting camp until.... I decide to leave. Venison or bust.

You could always add some push presses on the end of your ohp sets to force some more reps.

Is there any carryover to bench or is it just for the purpose of moving more weight? Does it help improving ohp *******?

well i meant that you could force more reps in the same set once you fail without the push. but if you decided to use heavier weight to do some separate push press sets it does have benefit. you're performing the same eccentric portion of the lift to set it back down with more weight than what you could strictly press overhead, which in turn will stimulate you to press more. also you're the one who decides how hard you push. so rather than do heavy weight that demands as much push as pressing effort you could just do slightly heavier than your strict ohp and push just enough to get it up there while primarily focusing on more effort in the press.

Yeah, it gets you better at learning to leg drive on bench, gets you better at locking out overhead stuff. Standing barbell French press can help.with that, too.

Well, I have venison to take home. Still 3 more days of hunting left too.
