Bench singles tomorrow, then working both Saturday and Sunday again. I can't complain, I'm loving the overtime.

We'll see how bench goes. If no pain and I feel strong, I may go for a new single max. I haven't done that in forever.

If no pain and everything feels heavy, I'll try out Sean's double pauses.

If pain, then... it depends.

I'd typically agree, but not for what I have to do off hours.
 
I work for the gov't up here... When I do OT, I get time in Lieu - nothing added to my salary.

That's what they're allowing now. All weekend OT can only be comp time.
 
I'd love some comp time... Actually I was just messing with Thomas. I've worked with a lot of state and federal workers and they are vastly underpaid compared to their equivalent in the civilian sector. Good benefits for the most part but low pay, so Thomas get all you can when you can.
 
No gym this weekend, and headed back to work. :(


My legs are still sore from those squats. That's what I get for taking so much time off.
 
Missed today too. I was too exhausted, although, I've gotten up more tired.

Only been twice in eleven days. I may need a couple days of full body and mobility stuff before pounding my body with a singles week. Hoping things slowly get back to normal. My weekly work schedule is still going to suck tho. Doing a cross-division project with someone who is slooooooow.

Awesome day. No bench pain, but slight discomfort on the inclines. On flat bench if my elbows don't stay in tight and uses as much lats as possible my biceps kick in and that's probably what causes the pain in the left side.

Kiddo football night. Finally got a win, 34-8. I'm going to try to not oversleep in the morning and hit deadlifts.

Ha, knock on wood. No broken iPads since.

It was a very minor PR. I've never hit anything over 240 for 7. However, I've hit 240 for 8. Gotta motivate thy self with any small increase. Any 'small' PR without pain is huge to me.
 
Last night right before bed I stepped into a hole in the back yard and twisted my ankle. I did something similar Sunday. So, I thought better of deadlifting today. We'll see what tomorrow feels like

Play it safe and don't put pressure on that ankle. PS stop digging holes in the yard and burying Stimul8 containers!
 
Some guys will go to any extreme to get out of deadlifting, this is a new one I wouldn't have thought of...lol

In all seriousness, glad you didn't break it. Did it swell or just real tender? Hope it doesn't put you down for a few weeks, but if there was swelling be really careful.

No swelling, it's just tender. Especially when I try and move it side to side. I can't wait to pull tbh, but I can't imagine that picking up 500# on a tender ankle is a good idea. I'll see how it feels in the AM on 135#. I can always wrap the hell out of it with my wrist wraps. If I feel any discomfort I won't go any further though.

Brosef I wouldn't try at all till if feels good personally. If u jack it up how are u gonna lift at all on one foot??

We'll see what it feels like tomorrow.
