Test levels after Ejaculation

How long after ejaculation will the test level return to normal levels?..assuming I am not on any gear ever before and currently 21 yrs old...need to know so at least I know when to stop thinkin or having sex prior to workout...hehe..
 
You know that you are sick when..... you plan sex around lifting so as to utilize your test to it's full advantage....:toofunny: :toofunny: :toofunny:

Now to burst your bubble. This thread will probably be closed because you were assuming you were 21 when you are, in reality 20 according to your profile. If you read the board rules you must be at least 21 to post on the anabolics forum. And you shouldn't be assuming you aren't on gear. You shouldn't be on any gear yet judging by your age.

I'm not a stifler for the rules, but I'm sure someone is going to mention this sooner or later.

Just to clear things up, I wasn't bashing him. I honestly don't see anything wrong with his post, but I don't make the rules. I was simply pointing out to him, in the event he didn't know, that he was breaking a rule of the board or that he needs to update his profile if he in fact is 21. My guess is that he would've heard this from someone eventually.

I think your test levels with go throught the roof if you "release the demons" in the middle of your workout.............jk

I feel the same exact way. Too relaxed and reposed when I have had sex before a workout.
 
I seariously doubt t levels drop significantly after ejaculation. The lethargy(and increased appetite) after sex is induced by dopamine which is released during orgasm is it not?
 
I am docile after releasing my swimmers. I'd lift weights like a little girl. I am quite certain I have no understanding why I just feel like screaming "hold me."

my profile says i'm 20 is because i haven't have my birthday this yr yet...so after my birthday in may i will be 21..and maybe it came out the wrong way..but i'm not assuming at all even though i said assuming..can't i am not using any gear at all and never did...

my point in this thread..besides the unexpected laughter from u guys is that after sex my workout also suck big time..always struggling with the sets and weights post w/o...just wanted to know how long it takes for it return to full level so maybe i will avoid sex pre w/o so as not to jeopadize my workout...jus trying to be precise..

and finally reasoning for posting in anabolics though u may check that i never ever did post here before..or at least as far as i can remember..haha..was that i don't know where else to post..and since in this section you guys are more knowledgable and its also something anabolic i guess so i decided to post here...

In a "nut" shell...:toofunny: there is a decrease. The recovery is much quicker in you young guys than it is in us older...uh-hem....well seasoned guys due to the declination of free T levels as we age.

read those journals..thanks..but still is not what i was looking for...was looking for the length of time after ejaculation that test level returns to normal(no lethargy, no feeling like wuss)..

like if it takes 5 hrs to return to normal and i know that i am going to gym at 7pm i will not have sex from 2pm onwards..really appreciate any help available..

Did you read the full abstract? There is a 7 day cycle (based on 28 people) for peak T levels from the day of ejaculation. This also shows that age does not matter (from what I interpret) in recovery . It's showing that if your "gettin some" every day, you will not enjoy the 7 day peak that comes from abstinence.

Hours would not matter. Dopamine levels would make the difference in how you feel. Maybe a search for effects of dopamine after ejaculation and return to normal would be more valuable to you.

I don't have the time...but I would conclude this:

1. If you have a competition event where you need to be at your peak, I would refrain form sex for 7 days prior to the event in order to achieve maximum testosterone levels.

2. I would only worry about having sex prior to your workout simply because of dopamines effect on adrenaline. I would assume that the rise in epinephrine (adrenaline) would lead to a crash post sexual activity.

3. I would wait to ejaculate after your workout. There are some studies which show that this boosts immune system and may help relieve overtraining....besides....you'll have all of those hotties at your gym to dream about while you run off a batch :D
 
I wonder if 2-3 grams of tyrosine would help offset the dopamine imbalance and get you back to working order sooner.

It's probably due to the fact that you get an epinephrine kick which lasts a good long time in your system. Others may react differently. I don't think it has anything to do with testosterone.

For example, if I take ephedrine prior to a workout, my staying power is about 10 minutes and then I crash. Others enjoy a couple hours of "high" and can break through brick walls on the ****. Everyone is different.

I would recommend that you do what works for you....you lucky bastard :woohoo: :woohoo:
 
Studys have been done showing that Sex mostly affects mood and agression levels. You may still have some juice , but your motivation and agression levels will be down the tubes. Personally I never "get some" at least two days prior to chest day.
 
My advice - my most intense workouts come 1st (I am sure theyre is a pun in there), then - go for her There is TEST release from a good workout - so use it :-)
 
NO JOKE- I started a simular thred about this around a month ago!! (forget if it was here or bb)
The difference was I talked about how checkin ou porn pre-W/O may influence test levels, giving a better "drive" at the gym. (I got this cause I'd start doing a little downloading, and it would take forever- so I'd strart before the gym- and by the time I left to work out, I have an increase in oily skin and was a little more "adjetated / mean" in my workouts!

But yeah- I get home from work at around 5:00pm. I go to the gym a little over an hour later. Sex before (assuming Im lucky- otherwise,....well,, you know..) the gym TOTALLY KILLS me. I get tired, week, no motivation....
I think holding out till post W/O is not a bad decission IMO.

You may not be too far off here... About a year ago, I remember reading about a test done on the differences between men & women & sexual stimuli. Part of it was they used Diagnostic Imaging (I believe a CT scan) to look at brain activity from the certain stimuli. When the men were subjected to seeing explict material (assuming they were looking at some sort of porn), there was high activity in the Hypothalamus (this did not happen in the women). This may assist in pre-workout T levels, but unless someone were to run a trial with baseline & post-porn T levels, we can't know how significant the boost may be.

I guess it can't hurt, though. :D

Sex AFTER a workout,.. hinder recovery,... Thats would make someone a monk! If you didnt have sex before W/O so you could perform in the gym, and you didn't after because of recovery,.. well,..
Look, Sex doesnt KILL test. Your body doesnt supply a steady stream of test anyways. The release pulsates. So, even if you didnt have sex afterwards, I dont think it would bennifit any. While some things can trigger a release (short term) that could be bennifitial for something thats short term (workouts), "missing" a release for a short period of time (assuming that sex does lower hormone levels) would do much. You body would just dely the release or increase output on the next one; either way, you body is used to having a certin amount roaming around anyways.

And, seriously, I started a thred about the funniest things you have done to get an "edge". While getting all horney as hell did give me the signs of increased test, I couldnt really tell you if/how much I bennifitted from the hormone increase alone. I CAN say that going to the gym slightly pissed can increase performence somewhat- but from a hormonal standpoint, I can't (have no way of) measuring the effectiveness.
Guess ya just have to try it and find out if your curious. I dont know hoiw long you need to be looking, bu when you start feeling like "Damn it- need it NOW!!!!" I'd say your good to go. (see if you get an increase in oily skin).
If you do do this for too long, you will just end up resenting every peice off of fine, sculpted, young/mature, gym crafted ass you see.
If you work out in the evenings, and are on a tight schedual, be prepared to give yourself a little extra time somewhere,....:hammer:
