Tendon Pain

Our gyms opened for the first time in 5 months this week, and even though I went a lot easier than I used to I've got some really bad pain in my inner elbow area. It only started to hurt the day after, so I don't think it's torn. It starts about mid forearm and goes to about mid bicep, it's like a very stiff tearing/pulling pain when I try to straighten my arm. When I stand up it takes about 4 minutes to straighten/loosen natrually with a small weight in my hand.

Has anybody had this, or could anybody provide me with some help. There's a 5 week waiting list to see a GP and it really hurts.

Thank you

Get a microwaveable heat pack and apply it to the area a few times a day! Advil helps too.

Thank you.
I know this is quite a vague question, but how long does this kind of thing take to heal?

I took 3 months off and now my comeback has been interrupted as I left my previous gym...But yeah, I was sore af the first couple weeks back!!

Go back thru your session and try to figure out what you did to cause this injury...Gonna keep it real, I’ve had strains that have taken a few months to fully heal.

You might just be really fuking sore man,...Give it time. Also, remember to ease back into training (easier said than done I know...)

Fish oil, massage, cissus supplement, heat all help.

Sorry to hear about your set backs man. I really appreciate all the help and the answers, thank you again.

Sounds like golfers elbow. I was able to cure mine by carrying sandbags. If you dont have a sandbag carry a heavy bag of dog or bird food. What I noticed is that when I squeezed the bags with my fingers my forearm felt better. My pain went away after a couple of days.

I've managed to heal it in just over a week. So for anybody using this thread to seek help, this is what I did...
I stretched it out multiple times per day, it hurt like a bitch every time.
I slept lying on my arm/hand facing up, using my leg to keep it held down.
3g of type ll collagen per day.
Massage gunning it after showers.
I didn't/couldn't do any upper body workouts until it fully healed and didn't hurt to move/bend.

for years until i got my right knee replaced i was prescribed voltren gel for the pain in my knee, this helped take the edge off...

voltren gel is now otc, you can get a tube at walmart for $10...it doesn't work very well on lower back or shoulders-but works great on knees, wrists, elbows, feet anywhere that is mostly bony.

i highly recommend you give it a shot.
