Does test as some kind of effect in the development of facial bones and muscle?I´m 23 and a healthy individual, but my face is to round and i would like to enlarge it. I heard that in the long run, exercises like squat and deadlift can lead in the long run to facial morfologic changes.

Generally, clenching/grinding of the teeth will cause hypertrophy of the muscles of mastication. This is a common sign of TMJ dysfunction. I would not suggest trying to increase the size of these muscles by clenching, etc, as these activities tend to lead to pathology of the TMJ and the dentition.

Personally, I tend to clench involuntarily (particularly during squats/deadlifts and during times of stress) and have a pretty pronounced masseter. Deadlifts/ also tend to really increase the development of sternocleidomastoid, which will give the anterior of your neck a real defined look.

As far as AAS go, they increase hypertrophy in all skeletal muscle, so yes they will cause growth of the muscles of mastication.

So basically, if you're a clencher then you'll generally see hypertrophy of the masseter/temporalis. If not, which is generally better in terms of oral health, then the masseter will probably be pretty average.

Thanks a lot

So what do you think if i wear a boxing mouthguard will i´m squatting or deadlifting to prevent teeth wasting

It would help prevent trauma to the occlusal surfaces of teeth, but it will NOT prevent the stress on the TMJ. If you already clench, I suggest that you wear a mouthguard while squatting and while sleeping.

Even with a mouthguard, the clenching may lead to pain, inflammation, arthritis, of the joint. These are usually associated with problems of the articular disk with a multitude of factors. If you're not a clencher, I would not suggest that you start. The possiblity of developing TMD isn't worth it IMO.
