Hey guys thought it would be a fun thread to share experiences with getting your tattoo done. Each tattoo tells a very important story about someones life, if you want to share feel free to. Share your artist or whatever you have in ind for a upcoming tattoo.

I personally have three tattoos, got two of them in Ohio, where i live, and the other one in Corning, NY but chad roloson (GO TO HIM). Funny story, so day after thanksgiving i woke up at 1 am to start my drive to NY, tattoo appointment is at 10, so driving and finally reached NY around 7 BANG flat tire..... dang pot holes. Sooooo I waited a good 1 and a half for someone to come fix it (i have a 2013 benz c300 and you have to do it a certain way or else i would of fixed it) anyways someone finally came and put the spare on, one of those thin cheap tires. drove another 80 miles on it to Corning, sat down for 7 hours to get my tattoo done, then i had to go fix my tire, THEN i drove 7 hours back to ohio, long long day haha. but so worth it. oh and got pulled over for speeding right outside my neighborhood, got off though hahah.

I have two, the first being a spartan helmet with angel wings and the quote "prepare for glory", I got it soon after I joined the military to remind me to be the best person I always can be, just in case I meet my maker earlier than I expected.

The second I got about a year ago on my forearm, the quote "May freedom forever fly". It's actually a quote from "chicken fried" by the Zac Brown band, but it's a quote that I've loved for years and decided to get inked on my body forever. 'Murica.

Love them! and can't go wrong with ZBB always down to listen to them. Most importantly thank you for your service!!

Nice tats guys.

Hoping to get myself a sleeve this year on my other arm.

This is on my right arm (bicep/tricep area)

Hard to get a pic of it really

'Pain is temporary, pride is forever'

Its not just relating to the gym, its about life in general.

That's a pretty sick font to get it in too, what are you thinking about putting into your sleeve?

That is a nice font. And are you thinking full or half sleeve? I have been thinking the same thing. More half sleeve then full sleeve or finishing the other half of my chest. To many choices, to addictive haah

Thanks man, I basically told the guy how I wanted it to 'kind of' look and he just freestyled the rest :)

I want clouds with a sun and light rays coming down... sort of like this:
but down from my shoulder to my elbow.

And I want the phrase: 'don't cry because its over, smile because it happened' embedded into the design.

That quote means a lot as I lost my grandfather over a year ago and he was a huge part of my life.

Thanks man, it will be half a sleeve. Down to elbow most likely

Bump to see arm bands. I've always wanted one! Anyone willing to make suggestions for a design?

I love tattoos even tho I don't have any (yet) but the major reason is exactly opposite of your question in that I want something totally unique. If it's gonna be there forever it better be special to me and something no one else can duplicate. Just my opinion.

That said, I always enjoy seeing all peoples tats as they almost always have a good story... Especially the bad ones ha

Agree totally! Unique is what I'm after as well.

ever considered designing one yourself? Or at least a concept drawing and the. Have a good artist extrapolate for you. That's what I've always wanted to do

My friend got Waldo tattooed on his left butt cheek to use as a pickup line when we were younger.
60 percent of the time, it worked 10 percent of the time.

Actually, both. Can I see a better picture as I'm on the phone app.

Of my tat?

Somewhat old pic but I need to shave my chest right now lol

The Celtic cross is a Madigan tradition. All of my uncles and my dad have it, we are proud of our heritage and big on passing down tradition.

The other tattoo is in celtic font over my heart from my writing days, a reminder to myself to "never lose heart"
Be passionate in everything I do,

Just booked ny appointment to get my other chest plate done. Mid July. 7 more hours of fun haha.

I don't think people can recommend tattoos to others, honestly it should be something important to you, something you cherish that you want to carry with you the rest of your life. My go to rule is if I want it for a solid 6 month straight without questioning my self then it's meant to be.

Being proud of your heritage is awesome! Looking great in those pics too D2L! Ripped!

ouch. Rough success rate for a lifetime commitment ha.

Does anyone know if having a tattoo in the area I apply Androgel is known for any application absorption problems?

I've applied it to my abdomen before, but after a few applications, my abs get really dry and itchy from the alcohol in the Androgel.
